@cunha_tristan @SciGuySpace Great idea. I think NFL teams should reserve at least 50% of the offensive plays for the backup QB’s too. That way there is more variety on the field. Would work well in the medical field too. Those low quality surgeons should get their fair share of surgeries. @SciGuySpace

@SciGuySpace It seems totally fine to put a limit on how much to buy from the leader, to explicitly support other companies so there's some variety in the market. But 50% is just arbitrary, why not say 60% or 90%? It should be a reasonable limit, not just half.

After reading Matt Shumer’s “Something Big is Coming” yesterday, which has hit 55M views, I started searching high and low for any and all counter arguments. Not because I believed he wasn’t being honest. Or revealing valid a tectonic shift coming. But because there is always two sides (minimum) to every story. Not sometimes. All times. Forming opinions based on one side is how you get lobotomies becoming accepted psychiatric practice for twenty years. So, is there any other viewpoint other than the end of the world as we know it where we’re all noodling at the local lake for our dinner? Perhaps. And, if so, this is the best I’ve seen. Get on the phone and work trades for Burrows/Keller. Don't overpay, but trade for Brandon Lowe and understand it shouldn't take much for a bat with one year of control. Make the Pirates a more intriguing free agent destination, or you risk walking away empty handed. Still need bullpen arms beyond Soto. Show us you want to win in 2026.

EUROPE JUST THREATENED TO DETONATE THE GLOBAL FINANCIAL SYSTEM European officials are quietly discussing the unthinkable: dumping $2.3 trillion in US Treasury holdings if Trump cuts a Ukraine deal without them. This is not diplomacy. This is mutually assured financial destruction. The numbers are staggering. The EU and UK combined hold more US debt than China. Watch the Treasury International Capital data in Q1 2026. Any foreign holdings shift exceeding 5% quarter over quarter confirms the threat is moving from bluff to action. The 80-year transatlantic financial compact, where Europe recycled dollars into Treasury purchases in exchange for American security guarantees, is being renegotiated in real time. The old world is not ending with a bang. It is ending with a bond auction.
