now to more… subjective lyrical part of ETHCC/CantonCC conclusions 1. slower pace not in a bad way - more like intentional ( or should we say institutional as for now??) spending way more time, energy, attention on people you already know people you’ve been building hard with online just meeting, talking, coffee, prosecco, random walks its probably the best part of all conferences meeting new ppl is cool, but going IRL with folks u've managed to connect online is one of the best experiences was super happy to connect with folks from @Aster_DEX, @LluisBardet, @daosasha, @ohdatskate, @rektonomist_ , @m_i_yatsenko, @frogule, @0xDannyHype and other ledends🥰 2. web3 is ( not ) dying but it definitely feels like a Phoenix moment not “separate industry” anymore, just becoming part of the global system and you can feel it crypto wasn’t even the main topic in many conversations → more tradfi → more AI → more war → more “real world” with a pinch of crypto everywhere 3. TGE as a concept is not just struggling it's dead without any remnants of flesh and hope meanwhile a lot of teams are already building alternatives: → hybrid IPO-like models → more structured contribution systems → better alignment between product & token so good teams won’t be forced to build tokens first and bad teams won’t win just because they went viral once or went drunk with right investor once 4. our founder @Ayde_Sol_Jedi kinda “infected” people with miltech narrative so 30% of ETHCC went to that direction 5. and last funny shift: KOLs marketing suddenly feels… not that important I honestly spend much more time speaking about UA war rather than KOLs what I think about that? thinking about that too much, but not sure u are ready for 456789 additional sentences here 6. last last one I urgently need $10M for a yacht in Monaco ========= less noise more meaning (or rather attempt to find it)

ETHCC / “CantonCC” recap STATE OF MARKET 1.the most important market indicator: → some events had paid water → some had no water at all people literally leaving conferences just to drink. bullish? bearish? you decide 2. a lot of people started calling ETHCC - CantonCC why? Canton basically owned the stage, private talks + gave free coffee hehe 3. fav convo: - me : what are you doing in web3? - guy I met : GTM for TGEs - me :…ut there are no TGEs now - guy I met : yeah, so I don't have a lot of work 😭 4, tradfi guys right now feel way more comfortable at these events than classic ETH degens ====== STATE OF CANNES 1. SUPER GOOD city for conferences → used taxi once to the end of Cannes suburbs → everything else 5–15 min walk → random networking just by walking 2. Monaco & Nice nearby = 10/10 decision to escape for a day 3. climate: good but +1 month later (warmer sea with utility!) = perfect 4. prices: just Europe nothing crazy 5. fun detail: sports culture there is insane. everyone running morning / day / evening felt like Web3 x Nike collab 6. service: mixed ( my fav phrase Ukrainians would do that better is still relevant ) some waiters forgot orders some were so good we became friends (and kept coming back every evening) ======= next post - more serious takes ( but not too much ) should I drop?

We are back from EthCC Cannes. And here is the actual signal from the ground. ◉ The AI Lag Builders are migrating to AI with a massive lag. Web3 teams are pivoting to data infra and agents. AI is being bolted onto everything with zero business models. The shift is real, but the execution is messy. ◉ Yield Over Equity Asset managers and family offices have replaced early-stage VCs. They do not want startup equity; they want yield and structured products. Meanwhile, EU capital (France, Netherlands, Eastern Europe) is awake and hunting for deployment. ◉ Tokenization as a Lifeline The novelty of RWAs is entirely gone. We are strictly in the execution phase. One sharp takeaway: the loudest tokenization pushes are often coming from sector laggards using it as a way out of a tough spot, rather than a core thesis. ◉ Defense Opens Doors Pairing AI and deep tech with defense is creating new conversations with institutional capital. Many are still figuring out the exact execution models, but the doors are opening. ◉ Floundering Ecosystems No single chain dominated the room. @CantonNetwork generated real builder interest, but the rest are floundering with vague goals. They are pointing at institutional integration but don't know what, where, or how. A concrete integration offer is exactly what they need right now. ◉ Broken Playbooks Project quality is poor. Most startups are looking for funding with zero traction, no revenue, and no GTM strategy. Teams with actual BD and distribution are incredibly rare. It is the exact same builders, still running 2021–2024 playbooks. ◉ The Transition Phase The market is in a transitional phase. There is no new dominant trend besides AI. Prediction markets, privacy, fin-infra they are present in the background but aren't leading anywhere. The next cycle belongs to whoever pairs AI with real distribution and institutional capital.
