I’ve seen a lot of people critiquing Kyler Murray’s comments from earlier this week about his frustration in splitting reps but, I have no issue with what he said personally. It makes total sense he’d want as many reps as possible to learn the offense and I would assume JJ McCarthy is EQUALLY frustrated by sharing reps as well. They are both fighting for the same thing.

Last night, Purple Daily was recognized w/ a Service to America Award in Washington, D.C. — to honor the work YOU ALL, our amazing audience, did to help raise money in the aftermath of the Annunciation Catholic School shooting last year.
This was a cause that hit very close to home for our guy @DexsTweets.

It’s not as unrealistic as you think for a 23 year old to go back to the drawing board and improve tremendously. One thing i know for a fact is JJ is a hell of a better leader and flat out just seems to care more.

@SeifertESPN IMO these critiques just say everything about how oddly invested some folks are in JJ McCarthy. It’s been crazy how quickly some rally to his defense. Kyler Murray is better than him. He’s established. That said, how Kyler looks in any given June practice isn’t that important.

Fair to critique coverage. On the trade question: Many many many people have been speculating on whether J.J. McCarthy would be/wants to be/should be traded. Had anyone actually asked him if there is any basis to it? Doesn't that matter? Isn't that the point of access?

@SeifertESPN He does have a point. You are heavily biased in your reporting on the QB battle in that you hardly ever give JJ any praise when he does well, but then when Kyler does bad you make excuses for him. And that question regarding if JJ wants a trade yesterday, very unprofessional.

Vikings RB Aaron Jones said he was flying to MSP this spring to sign his new contract. His flight got stuck in Chicago. Jones called J.J. McCarthy, a Chicago native who happened to be in town. McCarthy headed to the airport, grabbed Jones and took him to hang out for the night.

A lot of position-specific & red zone work for the Vikings’ QBs today. Thought both Kyler Murray and J.J. McCarthy looked sharp in about four full-speed reps each. Not a big sample. Dillon Bell continues to pop.
