US ATTACKS ON YEMEN: US has bombed Yemen 68 times in the past 48 hrs in a desperate attempt to destroy its military capability. Yemen has made retaliatory attacks on US warships 18 times past month, & 6 missile attacks on Israel. It has offered to stop its attacks on US warships if the latter stops its attacks on Yemen. US declined the offer, because it's actions are in support of Israeli genocide, not in self-defense or to end Redsea blockade. Yemenis dared to impose a blockade on shipping destined to resupply the Israeli regime and its unlawful occupation and genocide in Palestine. The UN Charter only allows the use of armed force by a state in two cases: (1) when the use of force is explicitly authorized by the UN Security Council or (2) temporarily, as an act of self-defense, if an armed attack occurs against a UN member state. In January of 2024, the U.S. (and the UK) failed to get Security Council authorization to use armed force against Yemen. Hence, their attacks on Yemen are illegal. The UN has sanctions on Yemen for its Red Sea blockade of Israeli ships but has not authorised military attacks. US has so far killed hundreds of Yemeni civilians in its attacks on residential areas & civilian infrastructure. The motion must be supported by one third which 117 Members and then supported by 233 Members of the National Assembly for it to pass. After passage in the National Assembly, it then makes its way to the Senate to be considered as appropriate including hearing by the Senate or special Committee and thereafter the Senate will vote on the charges if supported by two thirds of all the members of the Senate, the person shall stand impeached. The Senate cannot therefore initiate the motion. To note is that also only a Member of the Assembly can initiate the process. Free advice as a former Majority Leader.
