@jamesjfink @anshulkundaje Discordance between mRNA and protein is a very prevalent phenomenon, but the specific regulatory mechanism likely depend on the differentiation protocol. Our approach works for arbitrary dynamical systems, though.

@semrau_stefan SS: a measurement is a combination of signal and noise. You can think about it as noise perturbed by signal, because you don't know what the signal is, but you know quite a bit about the pattern of the noise. #gi2022
