The new logo is packed with far more symbolism and inspiration than the current.
The colors are different because the fanbase doesn't like the current colors.
There aren't any words because this is the partial leaked version of the actual logo.

The logo is almost exactly the same except there is LESS color and they REMOVED the words.
That is literally the definition of minimalism.

@aidanhascash One of the biggest issues of the front facing wolf is how easily the entire thing gets lost at small sizes. Go look at @Timberwolves and you'll see exactly what I mean

I think an ignored point about minimalism in sports is that logos are used in way more places now in the modern era. The kooky maximalist logos are fun, but they lack functionality when used on things other than merch, jerseys and courts

Whining about minimalism is easy social media engagement but it's ridiculous how freely it's thrown around. This is the one you're upset with? It's an illustrated wolf with trees behind it! That isn't minimalism! You need excessive detail to win social media points? How's this?

@JVSwaps @DesignsByPeak Personally I'm not losing sleep over adding a letter or two to the abbreviation, just me
I appreciate you actually giving a reason for why you don't like it but I think it's well composed and I actually like the bold letters and font choice

@ShadowStarMode @DesignsByPeak Is it not shortened to MN or MIN? MINN feels like it's trying to be a nickname or something.
More importantly, I think the type just looks kind of lame. I can't place my finger on why. I think it's the super thick outlines with the chunky type..?

@teriyakityrant Well yeah, itโs not really that different but itโs disappointing to me to see a team that used to have a very cool logo rebrand again but in the same bland direction as the last time. They should go back to this!

@allthingsmn @TimGarrisonMN Should be noted that is a recreation of the logo and they didn't specify that. The proportions in the actual logo are far better

The colors are great. A bit more work into the logo would be ideal but probably wishful thinking with the direction the league has gone there.
What worries me most is the font they are using in โMINNโ because if that ends up on the jerseys, theyโll likely be pretty lackluster.
Will withhold further judgment until we see the final product.

I really like the rebrand because of what the style, colors, and inclusion of trees suggests the direction they are going with the jerseys.
If the rotation is something like the 2021-22 city jersey with a white and black color way, itโs going to hit in a major way and that logo is going to compliment it beautifully.

@JVSwaps @aaronstanga Proline reported on a rebrand months ago with base details like the colors, then i found those shirts a couple weeks back, but i held onto the pics cause I didn't have enough evidence that lined up with em being real yet
