@ancapdavid @OpinionistNZ @ChrisPenknz Why?
Because you're a racist fuck with no concept of the beauty of diversity and culture?
The Welsh would heartily disagree with you.
English

@EnZeddist @actparty Possibly a teenage girl someone snapchatted?
His teen beat fanclub maybe?
English

@KarinMary1 8% becoming 6%, 6% becoming 5%, 5% becoming gurgle gurgle gurgle, ACT down the political drain.
Embrace your irrelevancy, David, your 15 minutes is up.
English

ACTs social media team hit a new low. And that's saying something
ACT New Zealand@actparty
ACT prefers a Santa that judges people based on their actions, not on who their ancestors were.
English

@ocarolant @ChrisPenknz 100%? Really?
Lots of new migrants would disagree with you.
English

@ChrisPenknz LINZ are also actively disregarding the Govt directive to publish in a language 100% of New Zealanders understand.
It appears LINZ are overstaffed with activists. There are cost saving measures for taxpayers to be made by replacing these unelected activists with AI.
English

@OpinionistNZ @ChrisPenknz So you can't read past a first line?
It's there, so all English speakers ARE included. Are you up in arms about any other language speakers?
English

@ChrisPenknz I'd like to point out Chris, that you have a govt agency IGNORING the government mandate that their English name needs to come before their Maori name.
Both LINZ and the Geographic Board, are ignoring the govt and using Maori first. Blatant disregard for inclusion of all NZers.
English

@MariaSherwood2 Luxflakes is PM? I thought David deposed him as part of the coalition deal.
English

@inspidernz @juhasaarinen That's because we are.
English

@juhasaarinen The South island has always believed it is too good for the rest of us. This is probably part of the grand plan.
English

@RaukawaDiver If his lips are moving, I take it as read that he's lying.

@vincristine @1NewsNZ He's insane?
There must be a lot of salon law breakers around because I can't ever remember having a cut and colour without a cuppa.
Must be something more substantial for him to waste our tax dollars on, surely?

The Government has announced a sector review into rules for hairdressers and barbers, with David Seymour saying it will seek to give the industry a regulatory "buzz cut".

English

@nick_alldag @1NewsNZ No danger of THAT ever happening.
English

@1NewsNZ If Seymour said he was personally going to feed every starving child, the left would accuse him of discriminating against fat kids and of course it would somehow be a breach of the treaty
English

Minister for Regulation David Seymour wants to trim the rules the countryโs salons must adhere to, today announcing a "short and sharp" review of the regulations.

@HelenaT57230672 Privileged denial that anything other than them holds any importance. Self-centred, insular, and ignorant. And the poorer and sadder for it. They miss out on so much by closing their world. They have my pity as well as my disgust.

Serious question ... Why are people racist?
Peter Boghossian@peterboghossian
Serious question: What percentage of the inhabitants of Wellington, New Zealand only read Te reo Mฤori? This is a parking meter.
English

@mangereman @AuntyFeeble @moon2112 @chrisluxonmp @rugbyintel Ah yeah, lots of people having work incrementally added to their daily load that is NOT in their job description and that they don't get paid extra for. This new legislation would mean people being penalized for working to rule, aka working to the letter of their job description
English

@AuntyFeeble @moon2112 @chrisluxonmp @rugbyintel We no longer live in the 1970s, employers get to set job descriptions. If you donโt do the work, you donโt get paid
English

Hi @chrisluxonmp and @rugbyintel, can you please say to me why this is being introduced under urgency? And have you considered that they might result in actual strikes, maybe not the targeted outcome?
ACT New Zealand@actparty
Partial strikes disrupt businesses and public services, causing delays to medical care, kids missing out on education, and train passengers left waiting at platforms.
English

@anni3ru0k And if that works they are refusing is unsafe?
I can see all kinds of 'red tape' cutting leading to people facing financial punishment for refusing to put their lives on the line for a job.
English

@SoosforPeace @actparty @dbseymour Great way for capital to leave the country and business owners leaving.
Typical lefty, politics of envy. Communism.

Responding to the Labour Partyโs decision to charge ahead with work on a capital gains tax and wealth tax, ACT Leader @dbseymour says:
โThis is the same old joyless, divisive, envy-based politics from Labour. Thereโs no vision or future for New Zealand in dividing the pie. Thereโs no future in the values of dividing wealth or dividing people by wealth, we need productivity growth and wealth creation as is abundantly clear in the figures.
โLabourโs basic message is that โyour problems are caused by somebody elseโs success. And if you vote for us weโll take their wealth and give it to you to solve those problems.โ
โThe real solution to New Zealandersโ problems is to grow the pie with productivity growth and a celebration of success rather than a demonisation of the very thing weโre trying to create โ more prosperity.
โIt also shows why itโs so critical to keep Labour and its allies from Te Pฤti Mฤori and the Greens out of power. If their theatrical displays in Parliament werenโt enough, imagine them taking the same attitude towards wealth creation and the wealth that so many New Zealanders have struggled so hard to create over decades.
โThey rail against division, then try to pitch us against one another and tear down the tall poppies.
โACT is focused on real solutions that boost productivity and grow the pie so that there is more wealth for everyone to enjoy. Weโre cutting red tape and reforming the resource management system so that New Zealanders are empowered to build and invest. Weโre liberalising overseas investment rules to make New Zealand the preferred destination for ideas, investment, talent. And weโre cutting waste, making the government work smarter to do more with less so Kiwis can keep more of their own money and build a better future for themselves and those they care about.โ
English

@josievryer @SoosforPeace @actparty @dbseymour Tax is what pays for society, good luck driving your fancy cars without the infrastructure of roads that tax pays for.
English

@JoeM_NZ @actparty @dbseymour Paying the same tax as everyone else is 'just moving money from A to B' ?
Yes, and it should be happening, because B is health, education, fsiere house prices and rental costs, you know, roofs over heads, that EVERYONE should have.
