WE ALL KNOW HOW THIS PLAYS OUT… ✅ We put a huge value on him ✅ People (with no idea on the psychology of negotiating) call us mad/greedy. ✅ We reject an offer ✅ We reject another offer ✅ Tony gets what he wants ✅ Everyone but Brighton fans are surprised 🤷🏻

@BrightonBuzzz He’s far too smart to allow social media noise from the likes of Romano to get a deal nabbed off of him.

Brighton and Tony Bloom need to be faster and smarter about announcing transfer targets and getting deals fast. Seems our announcements or activity are clearly signs for other bigger clubs to get involved and throw more money. This could also be a smoke and mirrors tactic to distract from the real targets knowing Bloom but I'm not sure... Thoughts guys? #BHAFC

@GroBmisconduct2 Bloom and Hurzeler have been doing horribly when it comes to cultivating talent, which is what we are supposed to be good at.

Spain are the current favourites to win the World Cup. They've got the best combined MD1+MD2 fixtures. Here’s my early Spain preview and predicted XI: Lamine is the star of the squad and is still working his way back to full fitness. He will start for us as long as he is fit, but he has still only been doing off-the-ball training with the team. Luis de la Fuente has reiterated to the press that he sees Lamine being ready for MD1. If Lamine is not ready, I expect Ferran to most likely play on the right, as Munoz is also working through his recovery. On the left, there has been some chatter around Nico and his role in the team, but rest assured, he is first choice if available. Nico has never produced stellar domestic seasons in terms of G/A, but remains the undisputed starter for us on the left under LDLF. Unfortunately, he is also recovering from an injury. Baena will cover on the left if needed, particularly if Olmo starts in the 10. In my view, the 10 should be Merino's role, but his extended injury absence in the second half of this season means that Olmo is more likely to start the tournament there as Merino continues to build his fitness. It is also particularly unfortunate that Fermin will not make it to this tournament, as this role could also have been his. In the middle of the park, Rodri and Pedri should start, but I would argue that Pedri's role in the Spanish team has always been more fragile than his role at Barcelona. Fabian could easily start ahead of him or rotate into the squad. In the 24 Euros, we tried to utilise Pedri as a 10 until he suffered an injury against Germany and Olmo took over. Although he will play deeper this tournament, his place in the squad is similarly more up for grabs than Rodri's. I think we have stability at the back, with the only exception being RB. In the initial part of the WCQ campaign, we played Porro over Llorente, and recent selections suggest that this order has changed. I do think this role could change back again during Spain's next two friendlies. Laporte, Cucurella, Cubarsi, and Unai Simon, on the other hand, are all nailed to start. The only concern I have around rotation is that, because we are expected to do so well in the first two games and have an incentive to do well against Uruguay to avoid a potential draw against Argentina, I could see an opportunity for us to rotate in MD2. In that situation, I think Laporte and Rodri could be most under threat, as they need to be protected more. Others will probably just get earlier substitutions. Given that I think the minutes will be mixed a little more heavily in attack, especially to protect players like Yamal, I am currently prioritising our defenders and Oyarzabal pending more positive updates. Penalties: Yamal > Oyarzabal Corners: Yamal, Williams Direct Free Kicks: Yamal My favorite picks currently: 🥇 Oyarzabal 🥈 Cucurella 🥉 Cubarsi

@pedriygavira So what did Flick do with Casado, Bernal, Torrents, Espart, Toni, Marques, Cortes, Dro?? He's giving more chances than any Barca coach in history.

@WHUFC_News If he calls that then he calls the one on soucek fouling havertz first He calls the keeper one because its beyond grappling, its pulling, strangling and holding the keepers arms down preventing him from catching ball. Easiest decision ever by VAR.

Chris Kavanagh was sent for an on-field review and was asked by VAR to look specifically at the grappling from both Rice and Trossard: His response: “I’m not sure what I’m looking at, give me a clue…..I don’t think there’s much in that at all, I’m happy with that…..that’s nothing.”
West Ham News@WHUFC_News

The audio from the VAR incident has been released, with Chris Kavanagh being asked to review the grappling from Trossard & Gabriel, which he dismissed as “nothing” Mind boggling considering it restricts his ability to jump for the ball and results in him sticking out his arm to retain balance 😬

Count how many fouls Arsenal players have been committing during this one sequence. What people need to understand is that this is the result of what referees have allowed Arsenal players to get away with all season. They feel entitled to push, shove, grab, impede players during corner kicks. They don’t believe they will be punished. This is the final result of what has been allowed for them for a whole season or even longer.
Lea@Lea_EFC

Everywhere you look you can see an Arsenal player committing a foul on a West Ham player, but VAR takes 5 minutes to spot a dubious infringement on an Arsenal player! That is literally match fixing btw.

@FPLfrasier the first foul is on Arsenal , on havertz there is nothing elsewhere you won’t find evey team doing every game , including west ham at the other end. there is nothing outside 3 fouls on arsenal (2 on raya) - which has precedence of being enough for a foul / VAR overturn.

✍️ 'Study the first league goal that Arsenal scored last August, at Old Trafford. William Saliba was elbowing and obstructing Altay Bayindir, but still Riccardo Calafiori’s goal was allowed to stand, without any VAR review,' writes @oliverbrown_tel. 'The inconsistent officiating lies at the core of the controversy.' Read the column ⬇️ telegraph.co.uk/football/2026/…
