@JJ_McCullough That's actually 42% open to it or more JJ, meaning your number is 58%...
Additionally, each one of these floor crossings drives that first number higher

Oh my so only 73% opposed!

NEW: Poll shows support for Alberta separatism at its highest level in five years. 27% would vote to leave Canada, with another 15% open to it “to send a message to Ottawa.” A fall independence referendum now looks increasingly possible — National Post

@TroyWestwood Fuck you're stupid. Might want to donate what's left of your brain to CTE research

One thing that has been made crystal clear during the last number of months in observing the Alberta separatists…
They very much so share the vision of White Christian Nationalism.
This is why they are a part of or support MAGA to this day.
They are racists to the bone, triggered every time they go get a coffee and they are greeted by a brown face.
I am very thankful and proud to live in a country where the vast majority of us disagree with their views.

@libsoftiktok God I hope the rest of Alberta wakes up and separates ourselves from this dying hell-hole of a country

@scottmhayward @Jay569259544803 No, voters weren't elected under a specific platform. A voter is entitled to change their opinions, but a person who got elected under one set of ideals, should be required to run again if they want to sit in the house under an opposite set.
English

@Jay569259544803 You don't think that 2025 CPC voters who are currently supporting the LPC won't also identify with that?
English

You're right, calling Conservatives who voted for the party in 2025 and are now supporting the Carney Liberals "rats" is the best way to win government next time.
Brilliant.
Stunning.
Brave.

@scottmhayward @rupasubramanya The MP's who were elected to one party only to turncoat a year later, spitting in the faces of their constituents, are rats.
She's not referring to the voters you fool

I was on the fence leaning towards let's try to to fix this country, but this behavior from Ottawa has secured my vote in the Alberta Separation Referendum...
The Canada I loved is gone

This floor crossing BS is out of control. If MPs in this country can just change parties whenever they want, then voters truly have no control over who becomes prime minister and runs our government. The whole Canadian system is based on the premise that parties MATTER.
English

@MarilynGladuSL You're just one more scumbag in a growing line of self serving traitors....
Why do we even bother having elections in this country?

@RoyceKoop We don't even really do confidence votes anymore. They certainly don't determine who becomes PM. In our system, prime ministers are sworn in entirely based on the post-election tally of seats in the House of Commons before parliament even sits. So party is all that matters.
