Fans and media are analyzing the Phoenix Suns to death. At the end of the day this team has been absolutely destroyed by injuries and is still exceeding anyone's expectations. I stand by my take that with just average health this team would have at least five more wins and be sitting in the 3 spot in the West. Hell, they've probably blown at least five games that they had under control even with a bunch of players out due to injury. I understand that expectations changed when this team exceeded them so early, but everyone needs to sit back, relax and enjoy the fact that we're watching a fun, hungry and still growing team that is still missing three of its top six players on any given night. Not to mention they are successfully integrating two rookies late in the season and guys like Jalen Green are still working into the system. Have some patience. This team has already given you more than you thought you were getting this year and they're going to be fun, and probably even better, next year and beyond.

Some advice for the NBA: NBC is going all-out for this Basketball Night In America broadcast. Entire A-Team is there on site for Lakers/Knicks. They just had Bob Costas welcome us to the pregame show for the first time since 2002. There is no good reason SEVEN other NBA games should be on simultaneously as this showcase. Fans of other teams are obviously going to be attending/watching those instead, and it does not feel like Sunday Night Football when there is so much else going on concurrently. Reporting, conversation, and discourse will be fractured by region. A full Red Zone Witching Hour would cannibalize the potency of NFL Sunday’s weekly main event, no? This needs to be a standalone product future seasons, if you want its cultural impact to be felt as intended.
