No longer do we have to choose between living in a Socialist or Capitalist state. Just as we inhabit a society and can belong to many communities, so we can be free to play in the arena of capitalism but be protected by socialism's safety nets. link.medium.com/kkLK7tgrBgb

@hodlonaut @Beautyon_ Thank you hodlonaut for taking the time to painstakingly report a chain of events that appears to reveal an uncomfortable truth about our beloved project: that it may be at least partially compromised at the developer level. Please post an address where I can make a donation.

It's pretty rich that the guy who isn't able to confirm or deny visiting Epstein's Island is warning people about reputational dangers, while smearing a thoroughly researched and meticulously sourced article and its author. I say like with Article 1, when Adam was doing this exact same thing: anyone reading the article will have questions as to why Adam is being aggressively dishonest like this.
Adam Back@adam3us

@TomerStrolight @hodlonaut it's nonsense @TomerStrolight don't tie your history and reputation to these tabloid falsified hit-pices. hodlnaut has suffered filter deranagement syndrome.

Adam is out there reply-guying to people praising Article 2 of CAPTURE. He claims @TomerStrolight was wrong calling it «excellent piece of journalism». He warns Tomer about the consequences of «tying his history and reputation» to «these tabloid falsified hit pieces». The truth is there is nothing tabloid or falsified about my articles. Adam is lying. Why is he lying? Read the article yourself, and decide if Adam or Tomer is right. citadel21.com/the-lever

The Gate to Chesteron’s Fence is wide open. Unless you really have the time to study why the fence was erected in the first place & whether it’s necessary to be there today, make sure to pass through the Gate. Else you WILL be treated as a thief and an enemy of our community.

@Vladcostea @Truthcoin I’m curious why you think Luke would hard fork if BIP110 is not activated? A hardfork would obviously fail to overtake BTC price given that the softfork didnt activate There is at least ONE [much smarter] Hail Mary play he could attempt in an effort to save Bitcoin…maybe more

Now that @Truthcoin announced a hard fork, Luke & Mechanic are cooked 💨 The spotlight is no longer on their brain farts 📼 Their ideas are old & stale ⛓️‍💥 If they were gonna announce a hard fork too, the shock factor is gone because someone else did it first Knots might as well pack it up and hope everyone forgets about them soon so they can blend in with the conference crowd (very likely to happen)

THE AI APP STORE SLOP: IT’S OVER. I know some insiders that work at the Apple App Store and some that work at the Android App Store and there is an issue: An explosion of vibe coded apps, 100s of 1000s that have framed our executives. As you know app downloads have dropped to nearly zero. Well now the quality of these “I’ll flood every category with vibe codes apps” business models has made this impossible for the stores. Some folks are training as a get-rich quick business to make as many apps as you can and flood the stores. It will only take 100 sending an app every few days to dilute the value of any discovery system at any App Store. I had one person say that the company feels they can not recover from this and will get worse. Good apps are not surfacing as the filtering systems get clogged. Veteran app developers are quitting the business and all the money, long ago dried up. This is the end of the App and the end of an era. Slopped out of existence.

Mining in general is very often done by people who ultimately end up with fewer sats as a result. This isn't really discussed much because we basically have to pretend miners must act like economically rational algorithms - otherwise part of our mental model clearly becomes untrue. I am not saying renting hash is profitable in terms of sats. I am saying that *if you are going to mine* then for 99% of people, you can do it more cheaply making a deal with a third party who sources the cheap electricity, already owns the machines, and will sell you the hash for a fraction of the cost you'd pay trying to mine in your house.

@mattkratter @14g23h34 It’s shocking to see how some Bitcoiners can simultaneously be worried about making dust level SPAM unspendable, citing it as a “slippery slope” but have no problem w/the confiscation of MILLIONS of BTC as a result of activating @lopp ‘s BIP We are surrounded by bad faith actors

@lopp @highstakevegas @TomerStrolight Do you deny the distinction b/w a Bitcoiner & a True Bitcoiner OR reject the term “Bitcoiner” altogether in an effort to remain neutral? Are there “bad” actors in the BIP110 debate? It seems you want to stick to the technical facts but people are calling you out on your values

Cypherpunk Jameson Lopp and other Bitcoin developers propose BIP-361 to freeze quantum vulnerable wallets. This could lock dormant BTC like Satoshi Nakamoto’s 1.1M coins, now worth $74B, before quantum computers can steal them.

@Vladcostea So long as the conservative chain gets the BTC ticker (ie. the one that makes the smallest changes to the protocol while retaining broad consensus with noderunners) then yeah, fork it baby.

My 2 cents on the whole “let’s freeze the bitcoins that don’t move to quantum resistant addresses” debate JUST DO A FUCKING HARD FORK Abandon the old network, let the quantum computers steal all the worthless coins Move to a better chain that fixes all the issues of the current one Let everyone claim their coins 1:1 on the new chain. Lost or unclaimed coins are still there, just in case the users return one day. Satoshi can return in a few decades, his coins will still be there. Quantum resistance is exactly the kind of existential upgrade for which a hard fork is justified. Don’t half ass this upgrade with something so suboptimal that a limited time for moving coins is even proposed. Soft forks are for trivial stuff. For anything major, just hard fork.

MtGox was a more catastrophic theft than quantum will ever be. * 70% of all trading volume * 850,000 bitcoins stolen from them * 6% of all bitcoins that existed at the time * Roughly 1/10th of the entire marketcap of Bitcoin Look where we are now.

Disgraceful. Forcing Satoshi to choose between proving he is alive before he may want to or lose access... That's a ploy to get him to betray his identity. Because of what? Fear a thief may cause a dip in price? Eject these fools.
