I'm sorry, but this is the most ridiculous shit ever. Race swapping Chani has killed all immersion in Dune. Arrakis and the Fremen were never written as a melting pot.
Frank Herbert gave them clear ethnic logic. Changing Chaniโs heritage breaks the story, the Fremen culture, and internal world consistency.
You destroyed that world when you chose tokenism over storytelling. Dune deserved a better adaptation.

@EddCoates And with gamedev, most things are learned through experience. It's difficult to truly *get* what someone is saying unless you go through that process yourself. Even with a highly skilled mentor, they can only really show you a path, you still have to walk it yourself

People who think phobias are just "being scared" are dumb.
People who think optional accessibility toggles set a "bad precedent" are not legally qualifiable as people as this would require brain activity.

@cruisethe_sea If a game is about one of their triggers, then absolutely, it's not made for them. The reality is games like grounded offer a lot more than just the sausage they're allergic to, so why should they be barred from experiencing all the other cool stuff?
