my first 2 in the series? I wrote them as one book then learned the hard way everything about getting a book published. I had to cut the book in half and make two. Well over 2years in the making. I was also working 2 jobs, one full time and raising a village of teenagers. 3rd book took 3 months. Words flowed like a waterfall. 4th book, was supposed to be my first book lol but some characters are mouthier... that one took a while. Editing it was a nightmare. But it's done. 🥳

Eden’s Series Books~ Happy Wednesday to all. I want to give readers a heads up if you're going to give my books in this series a chance. I'm not trying to get you to buy every book even though that would be amazing but, even though they are written as stand alone books, they make a whole lot more sense when you start with the first one... Lemme explain. Before I decided to sit down and do this word crusade I read Laurel K Hamilton's books. Like the first 8 or 9. I loved them. Couldn't get enough of her world building or her characters—who doesn’t love a sexy man nibbling on you? She has this habit of not killing off her main guys and dragging them kicking and screaming into the next book in line. Well, I seem to have followed the same path with my kids. I can't kill a single one off and they all live in a mansion together. Think Dark Shadows or The Originals. One big dysfunctional group of preternatural misfits trying to make it to Friday like the rest of us. They're all there, in each book. There's nicknames for all of them. There's different spice levels for all of them. Please consider that. If you aren’t into sexy scenes this series won’t work for you. God, maybe I am capable of killing off my characters myself. Why did I go down this road? I went against my better judgement and I read a few reviews on Eden's Charms and people couldn't keep up with the crew of players in the book. Reading reviews is terrifying. People are brutal. They can say what they want without repercussion and not lose a wink of sleep over it. I told a woman this morning you'll never be everyone's best friend (she was having issues at work) and with that, my books won't be everyone's cup of tea and that's ok. I stand by my books. My editor and publisher loved them and had faith in my writing, so I figure that's gotta count for something, right? Anyway, before you jump in headfirst, please consider the order in which the series is written so you know who’s who. Just my opinion but I find Goodreads and Amazon reviews to be a menopausal mosh pit filled with vipers waiting to sink their teeth into anything in reach. It’s one thing to give a fair review, but when the person is going for the jugular it’s cruel to the author who’s put their heart into their work. Reviews should have a standard cut off stating: Not for me. I tried but DNF…. without the plethora of bashing people feel entitled to write. On a side note, and this is cheeky on my behalf, one of the women who scalded my book had written her own book and some of the reviews were as cold-hearted as the one she left me. I think Karma knocked on her door. Bottom line: Be kind. People are trying their best to do what they love and perhaps make a living doing it. You never know what drives someone to pick up a pen or a paint brush or a camera seeking or creating beauty, maybe to find a way to cleanse their souls of pain, trying to find their own light or maybe they’re trying to make someone else smile when they couldn’t. Jovan Hause takes on Andre St. James in more ways than one... you meet Jovan's overbearing big brothers, Jonah and Julian and Payton (the chef--cooking up trouble). Eden's Charms, 3rd in series. Savanah St. James meets Ethan Kitt. All the kids from the first 2 books are in this along with Serina and Jovan's parents Olivia and Father Thomas... and few bad eggs. Eden's Fallen Angel 4th in series. Elyza St.James meets Zander Templar. Everyone from the first three books are here, everyone, including Dracula... He's got a few cameos in the last two books. Thank you, Tracy. The honest answer is: the idea took years, mostly because life and work never left much time for it. Once I sat down seriously, from draft to published book it took around 3 weeks for this first one. It is planned as a 12-book series, so the first book took longer because I had to build the world, the character, and the structure. A big part of why I wrote it was for my daughters. They love reading, and I wanted them to have something special from me, connected to the world I work in.

Monsoon 2026! I wanted to share a mini 2-part video explainer discussing how the North American Monsoon gets started and diving into the significance of the Monsoon Circulation funneling (or blocking) moisture into the Desert Southwest. My son David carries the same genetic variant that played a part in my heart attack at 52. APOE e3/e4. The same loaded gun. The same DNA. I found out when I tested all three of my children after my widowmaker. When I saw the results on my phone, sitting at the kitchen table, I felt sick. My 11 year old boy was carrying the same thing that nearly killed his father. Then I felt something else. Hope. Because David has something I never had. Knowledge.
