Just to add to the chaos I'm now being told by multiple sources from different parties that canvass returns for Makerfield show Restore significantly outperforming the 7% revealed in the Times poll. I suspect that's what's underpinning the current Reform meltdown.

@DPJHodges @RupertLowe10 I’m from the Makerfield constituency and have family there. From what I hear Restore aren’t remotely popular & will be lucky to retain their deposit. People tell canvassers what they want them to hear to get them off the doorstep & ‘sources’ make things up to push a narrative.

Thanks for telling me what I’m doing. In plain English, it means it’s a lot less likely. We also have also published detailed policy papers. If we are party members, it is our job to support them in public and to debate them in private. For a Front Bench, Jenrick in particular, to do this, is piss poor, to say the least.

It was 34 degrees in the UK yesterday, the hottest May on record. The UK governmemt should make air-conditioning mandatory in all hotels, restaurants, shops, cinemas, trains, buses, shopping malls and anywhere in doors and it should also be installed now as a matter of course in all new builds. So Oxford UK is to become a 15 minute city in August. Do people realise what a 15 minue City is?????? Do you realise they need a pass to leave it, even to go to work???? That they are fined if they go over the pass limit. They must have facial recognition cameras everywhere!!!!! Anyone on here from Oxford?????

Gran Canaria passport control/immigration this weekend for those who don’t live in the EU. This is not about Brexit per se although you will find many who blame it. There are simply many non-Schengen (mainly non-EU) citizens arriving at the same time. Especially given the €395 million invested that has resulted in hundreds of machines not even working. The EU should suspend this system for the summer otherwise many nationalities will face longer and longer queues. Greece has already abandoned it. Others need to follow.

@Yoda001 @Yoda001 A 15-minute city just means daily needs like shops, schools, and parks are close by, so you can walk or bike easily. There's no plan to require passes or fines to leave your area, and people can move freely around Oxford.
