@SnookCrook10 @KySportsRadio None of us defend Pope my guy. Cal only lost twice at UK in S16 games and he’s already lost twice at Arky in 2 years in wild games

@ESPN680 @TheOnlySweeney You wanna end up like Indiana? @TheOnlySweeney we all know they held on to coaches TOO LONG after mediocrity. Crean, Woodson, Archie all should have been gone sooner. Especially Crean and Archie

Kentucky-Iowa State was the 2nd most watched game of the second round of the NCAA Tourney (behind Kansas-St Johns) And Kentucky-Santa Clara was the 2nd most watched game of the First round (behind Duke-Siena)

@JudeCaresosa @BRamseyKSR Yes you are. But we were tired of Cal teams that has the talent he has now not going farther than your Arkansas teams with Mussleman. Even prior to Covid. Losing to Aub in E8. K St in S16 when UMBC beat Virginia

"Revisionist history" is absolutely correct. I, along with a couple others, had a LONG conversation with a current high-major assistant while in St. Louis about Coach Calipari, Kentucky, Big Blue Nation, etc. This is a coach who would have gone against Coach Calipari multiple times and even he simply had a LOT of facts wrong about the way things ended (and also about how things are currently going). People very quickly forget what it was actually like. Coach Calipari needed a reset. Kentucky needed a reset. Coach Calipari is doing well with his reset. Kentucky is sort of in a holding patter...but that doesn't mean that the 'Cats should have KEPT Coach Calipari. Really good post here from Cameron.
Cameron Waddle@CameronWaddle

Revisionist history has completely shifted the views of many people when it comes to the ending of the John Calipari era in Lexington. Here is a clip from @mostlysports a couple years back after we fell to Oakland. It’s a rant from @clubtrillion, a former Ohio State Buckeye basketball player, and a guy who has no affiliation with Kentucky or Calipari. These are his thoughts and it’s truly what the state of the program was at the time. Two total postseason wins since 2020 with him, one in SEC tournament and one in NCAA tournament. I will forever love John Calipari, and he’ll likely forever be my favorite coach, but it was over at Kentucky. Whether you want to blame it on him, administration, others, doesn’t matter. He’s doing well at Arkansas, but his time at Kentucky was done. I just don’t get how people have forgotten what the end of his time here was like. Yes, he gave us one of the best runs in College Basketball history in his prime at Kentucky, but the ending was far below the standard in Lexington.

@AlextheAdm1ral @jonathanoatess Exactly. More off throttle in corners. I’m afraid they’ll stick with what we have until next year but I wish they would do it. Neither are in the Chase so I wish they would this year

@TFraley96 @jonathanoatess Indy is pretty atrocious with the current package, it and Pocono would benefit immensely from the ST/RC package. Less diffuser, more hp, less wake

A lot of people would argue that the current Next Gen intermediate racing is perfect and shouldn't be touched, but I would argue that it's getting more and more stale as the years go on. Almost every intermediate is flat out in qualifying. Passing for the lead is minimal, and...

@jordanhaynes41 @AlextheAdm1ral I mostly agree but Phoenix they said they could notice the horsepower more than they thought. It’s going to be dependent on the track mostly

@TFraley96 @AlextheAdm1ral It wasn’t the change in HP that did much of anything.. it’s the DF (underbody) that’s what needs to be changed lol

Good Q. I'll point out the "what" and "where", and let Kevin, Clint and Larry describe the "why". @FOXSports racing is analyst-driven... others may do it differently.

@mikejoy500 Mike I find your style of broadcasting really interesting. You just say what the battle or thing you want to talk about is than let the other guys in the booth take over. I don’t mean to be rude or anything but why is that?

@SpeedFreaks I used to like it when it first came out. Some races in 2016 and 2015 were slogs to get through. But over time I agree it takes all the strategy away. I like awarding points for fast cars in a race just take the caution away. This has to be a TV decision and I doubt they’ll stop

It’s been a disappointing season, but Mark Pope still has a chance to beat Iowa State and make the Sweet 16. It’s not over yet, just hoping we get to see them give it all they have. 💙
