@Peter_Bukowski @StatsOnFire Peter, look at Ohio. The state supreme court struck down maps in 2021 and 2022, but we voted on unconstitutional maps in 2022 anyway because the redistricting commission ran out the clock. Just saying "Courts review the maps!" isn't some silver bullet.

Voting maps are subject to appeal and courts overturn them all the time. Itโs why we have a system.
Also, nothing is forever. The demos were supposed to favor Democrats forever coming out of 2012 and look what happened. Things change.
More to the point, the example I cited was different. Lawmakers should not subvert the process of government to avoid outcomes they find unfavorable. The slope is wildly slippery here. Make your case and if you lose a vote, work to change it next time. Thatโs the system.

That 2021 draft class is stinky.
Only 4 guys are even still on the roster -- Stokes, Myers, Slaton, and McDuffie -- and there's a good chance none of them gets re-signed.

@jonhawks317 It happened in 2019 when the prior draft classes were stinkers. It will happen again in 2025. When you don't have draft picks heading to free agency worth keeping, then you spend the money in free agency instead.
