Uh-oh. I expected to lose bad but I started the day going 2-0 in my first match at the Lorcana Challenge event in Fort Worth, so now there’s pressure to keep that up. 😬🤞🏻

@Th3RaT Playing your Chicago list in a "Win an Enchanted Elsa" event tomorrow. Any updates you would make to the list to adapt to changes post Chi? I've considered some # of Cursed Merfolk, at least 2 to replace the 1 drop Flynn to help the Blue matchups. Thoughts?

@RyanEffinMiles Then you get to reduce the system to games again instead of “points” which makes it better in a number of ways.

@RyanEffinMiles If they want people to think of it as games then remove the bonus point. Until then it will be thought of as a match cause there is the opportunity to win extra points.

I know I'm a minority but I felt very good about Bo2 in the #Lorcana challenge. Biggest complaint I've seen is that "draws feel bad," but I think the system was effective and better than bo3 or bo1. Mindset shift will be needed for the entrenched TCG players, but I hope it stays.

@TandyMTG @lunaloveee8 @DisneyLorcana There are problems imo to go from the format for swiss to the format for top cut being Bo3. Ultimately I will be trying to go to both Challenges regardless. I am more concerned about the registration cap than the format. I do not think events with caps are new player friendly.

There's still time to fix this 2 round mistake @DisneyLorcana . I can't imagine why we are arbitrarily rewarding WWLL -> 3pts and WLWL -> 2pt.

@zachbivens1 @illumiteers Furthermore, minimizing your skill and the skill it takes to play is bad for the most skilled players to parrot because it devalues their own skill by failing to positively grow the game and even directing someone else who for them the game isn’t like that, into similar thinking.

@zachbivens1 @illumiteers Good take. Plenty to dissect about how people interact with going first. I’d recommend people stop acting like the game is a coinflip when it is not for the majority of players guaranteed and likely even top players still. Not good for the game - unhealthy community sentiment.

It's less two weeks into the format. The "first player" win rate will drop. The sky is not falling. Did I mention that it's less than two weeks into the format?

@calebjpetersen @Kawatek_CG One of many GM ladder factors. No one in GM wants to accept a best of 3 if they just won and are going second in g2

@Kawatek_CG Are GMs required to play a best of three? Or can they opt out like everyone else?

@Kawatek_CG I don’t think its anywhere near 64% in reality. The stats from the pack tournaments all together would probably be more reliable even without the sample size. GM ladder system is completely flawed is there somewhere I can look at how they got to 64%?

@Impact_onfire I'm playing Lorcana and there are open tournaments but not as frequently as Hearthstone had it. Was the golden age. I'm still trying to check out one piece eventually.

I didn’t play any Patron warrior while it was back yesterday, but got to watch some people play, brought back good memories. Anyone else miss open cups? Can’t be just me…

@BradenMTG first thing when I seen the original list is to add beast, I tried that, seemed like the extra card from beast rarely mattered cause RP gets to a point after be prep where everything you do dies. Moana rarely resets princesses but if she does vs yellow red where doc pan out good

@BradenMTG I think the 5s are mostly a wash, doc pan out is rare in meta, but I've found the 3 ink is more valuable than the card vs the decks that card could be good vs. Also having options after AWNW is more valuable than just having beasts. Benja is good vs blue steel.

@Th3RaT congrats on the finish yesterday! Could you explain why 2x Moana + 3rd Benja is better than 3x more Beast
