How to not get banned on Shopify: Step 1: dont be an idiot… Step 2: use a separate crm (so shopify can no longer touch you) You still use the shopify store but once someone ads to cart or clicks “checkout” They get pushed to the crm not shopify checkout. Fun thing is you can recreate the shopify checkout 1:1 on the crm so you dont fuck up your cvr Step 3: plug in a private processor 2 day payouts, no random holds or shutdowns + you can run high risk products like sups with low fees Step 4: Scale You are welcome!

This was a brutal MRR lesson for a lot of people: A few years ago, TSYS got hacked and was taken offline. TSYS should NEVER ever be offline. It's is a payment processor that works on the back end infrastructure side for card payments So TSYS being offline meant that any MIDs that used it would not be able to process payments. Customers would try buy something and it wouldn’t work. But everyone is still spending money on ads for that traffic... You see the problem? It’s basically paying for traffic that can’t convert So the adspend is wasted. Thousands of MRR merchants went hours spending big budgets on ads without noticing that TSYS was down. All wasted adspend. I caught it instantly, and turned all ads off in less than a minute. I had a script on a server that constantly checks downdetector for all important software infrastructure we use. TSYS, payment gateways, our servers etc And if somethings down, it would send a message in our emergency gc Then we turn ads off immediately. With only the lost potential revenue for that day But it's better than losing 6figs on wasted adspend. But other people weren’t as prepared. They had to rely on someone telling them TSYS was down, which often took a few hours, and in some cases longer Instead, I was prepared, with a healthy dose of paranoia about everything. You guys should implement the same systematic checks. DownDetector is great for it.

the biggest fulfillment provider in Miami stole a well-known merchant's entire brand after he placed a $200K order with them… this wasn't some random guy earlier last year, he was one of the biggest in the space, throwing huge events that half the e-commerce community was attending was doing fulfillment and sourcing directly in the US for big supplement companies & beauty companies. everybody knew who he was the merchant placed the order, and the delays started “it's getting shipped, it's getting shipped” then it supposedly got seized. he asked for proof, asked for a picture of the seizure notice. the fulfillment company refused to send anything turns out in the background… they had whipped up the exact same brand, ripped the store one-to-one, and started selling the exact same product. he used that $200K order to get his own cost basis down. the provider is no longer around because of what happened, but the damage was already done choose the partners and the people you work with really carefully you don't know at what point someone might try to rip your infrastructure maybe it's your agency maybe it's your provider maybe it's your payment person anybody could really try to replicate what you built

I wonder what would happen if I copy and pasted all the names / emails / phone numbers / addresses of people who charged back on my brands for no reason at all What if all of us banded together and made a database? Friendly Fraud should honestly be met with massive shame.... or DEATH

@AbrarZahin no problem, clients usually see same or better cvr, but massive boost in AOV. Which just turns into higher ROAS.

Got hit with a Shopify Payments ban across 4 stores and $188K sitting in reserves with release dates in July 😭 Already applied for Ocean Payments. What payment processors are actually working for you right now? Not looking for DMs pitching me garbage.
