Wealth taxes are the single stupidest idea to come out of the Democratic Party, and that's saying something... You do understand that "wealth" is not a gigantic pile of cash, right? 99.999% of the time, it is EQUITY in companies, real-estate, etc. To PAY the tax, the "richest" would have to SELL THE ASSETS which would FLOOD THE MARKETING with forced selling, tanks valuations, and obliterates the 401k of every middle-class American who has ever put a dollar into an index fund.
