I broke the social media growth myth with my client. We generated 2.5k followers without any cheap tactics: • 0 paid RT’s • 0 viral stunts • 0 engagement bait This is everything we did to get there: --------- Step 1: Jumped on an initial call You can’t get client results without jumping on a call with them. You just can't. The first call sets the tone for the rest of your time working together. It strengthens the personal connection from the get go. By jumping on the call I got to understand: • What their goals were • How they were measuring success • How they run and manage their business Doing this allowed me to pin-point their bottlenecks and seek out their problems. You can’t have too much information. Learn as much as you can now, sets you up to overdeliver. --------- Step 2: Looked at current funnels Funnels make money and that’s what we’re here for right? So this is what I did… His lead magnet didn’t match up with his content. All this was doing was attracting two different types of audience. This was a big no no. His lead magnet was about analysing creators' marketing strategies. Yet he was a Ghostwriter? Crazy. So we changed it to lead magnet focused on his content and how he writes converting long forms. The results? His email subs doubled. Simple change, massive results. --------- Step 3: Optimised Profile Many say this doesn't matter. But I treat it like a dating app. First impressions are everything. My client had a generic white background of his pfp. All this did was make him blend in. So we changed it to red. It made him stand out when scrolling down the timeline. He became instantly recognisable. We went for the rule of 3 for his bio… • Who you are • What you do • What you do to help others We went from… “Building a 6 figure lifestyle whilst juggling life. Sharing my thoughts and writing insights along the way. Proud dad.” To… “Scaling my Ghostwriting business to $10k/mo. Posts about writing, personal insights and storytelling. Proud Dad of 2.” The second one gives an immediate indication of what my client is all about. Easier for clients and new followers to know what his profile is all about. Aligning all parts of his profile was crucial. All for one reason… Lead gen. Leads are what pay your bills after all. --------- Step 4: A long content call A Joe Rogan-esque podcast if you will. Many wouldn't do this step. Not me. On this call we went over everything we had already covered whilst reviewing the changes we had made. And then our next steps... Talking of next steps, this is where the content part comes in. A long call like this let me understand 3 things: • Their voice • How they write • Previous stuff they have tried The main goal of this was simple… To understand how they write so I could be authentically them. To get all of the information I need to never run out of content ideas. That’s what separates the best Ghostwriters from the good Ghostwriters. --------- Step 5: Writing Specific Content Now for the real money maker. Content is the first step of your funnel and is number one when it comes to lead gen. It gives you a chance to show off your expertise's and let people know your beliefs. This is exactly what I did with my client. Before my client came to me, his content was very sporadic: • Platitudes • Basic value • Cookie cutter templates He was posting for himself and posting for likes and had 0 strategy. Big mistake. This is what I changed: I made him follow a strategy which hit 3 core pillars everyday. A problem post (shows competence) A call out post (shows beliefs) A personality post (shows insights) These 3 pillars combined did one thing… It made sure he wasn’t just getting eyeballs on his posts, but he was getting the RIGHT eyeballs. The absolute key to lead gen. We were not interested in going viral with ever most but we were interested in making money, (if we went viral it was a bonus.) By driving the right traffic into the funnel and to his profile not only resulted in 2.5k followers… But also resulted in a significant amount of lead flow into their business. Aim to make money with content, not chase virality. --------- Thanks for reading. Follow @TheLewisW for more of this. I'd love a repost from you would really make my day. --------- P.S. Ready to transform your biz just like my client? If you're a founder who wants a strategic approach that turns followers into real opportunities, let's talk. I don't work with everyone. I work with serious entrepreneurs who are committed to standing out, not blending in. DM me "GROWTH" and I’ll send you over some more details.

You don’t have to be the best speaker to close. Ask for their most expensive problem. Show how you can solve it. Keep it simple. Keep it to the point.

Overthinking your writing destroys the quality. - Think - Write - Post Raw emotion is better than perfectly curated.

Wake up. Quick piss. Stare at Sun. Chug water. Sit at desk. Caffeine and nic. Rave music. Deep work for 4 hours. This is the best morning routine. And no one can tell me otherwise.

@TheLewisW The market is a more honest boss than any manager. It doesn't care about office politics or how many hours you sat at your desk. It only cares about the result. If you can deliver a result for a boss, you can deliver it for a client.

I once charged a dude $3k for my services. When we finished delivering he tells me that he would've paid $10k. I was mad. So I increased my prices. Don't undersell yourself. Charge more.

nobody thinks of this as a classical skill, but learning to make good decisions is probably one of the greatest abilities that can be honed.

The most successful solopreneurs aren't scaling to $10M. They're simply making more than they did at their job, minus the boss, meetings, and headaches.

Building isnt the main challenge anymore. Its figuring out which product/offer is worth building. Whats one problem your audience will pay big money to solve? Talk to your audience. Understand them well. Then build something helpful.

I used to be the “how did they do it?” type of guy. Now building my biz I see how the the successful ones did it and all it stems from one thing: Attitude. The successful just go for it.

Don’t just enjoy it. Obsess over it. Obsess over it so hard that it drives you insane if you don’t get results. Business mentality 101.
