Gotta make a correction to my @SaintLouisMBB post. I was thinking about those other Saint Louis Tournament wins and immediately was reminded of my last St. Louis. All. Here are my boards that night, and a pic from our pre game meeting. The 1st round win for the Billikens over @Memphismbb in 2012 in Columbus Ohio was an 8/9 game win by Saint Louis. It was the late great Rick Majerus last victory in his successful career. A few months after the Tournament he passed away. Tom Izzo’s Spartans knocked out Saint Louis in round 2. Rick was one of my favorite all time Coaches, and we both loved Al McGuire which only made us closer. RIP Rick. 🙏💜

VCU didn't own a win this season over a team that earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. It just erased a 19-point deficit to come back and beat North Carolina approximately four hours from its campus. Anarchy? Nope. Just College Basketball.

Can’t believe they let Shaka Smart out the house looking like that. Anyways this is the last time VCU won as an #11 seed (2011)

Yeah it was very sad. My relationship with his mentor the great Al McGuire only made us closer. He came up to New York a few times and would have been marvelous TV analyst had he lived long enough.RIP🙏and I’m sure he and Al are sharing stories tonight in heaven.
