@HVACSEO Been saying this for a long long time. Someone like us are in a heavily populated area and proximity tough there are companies everywhere!
English

You can have 200 reviews, perfect on-page SEO, and a website that loads in under a second. If the homeowner searching is 11 miles away and your competitor is 2 miles away, he is showing up in the map pack and you are not
Proximity is the one ranking factor you cannot optimize your way around. That is why service area businesses with one location struggle to rank across an entire metro. It is not that your SEO is bad. It is that Google draws a circle around the searcher and you are outside of it. The companies dominating 5 zip codes instead of 30 understand this

@Travis_Junk @HVACSEO No I’m confident that it’s not working. You’re prob right about the ad spend, but dude $9k a month? I mean not to get to personal but as a new biz with kids and a mortgage that’s not really realistic. You got kids? lol
English

@HVACSEO I’m sure there is some edge to it as well psychologically the customer feels they already started paying more enticed to move forward with the job than to lose their $89?

The 89 dollar diagnostic is not how you make money. It is how you get inside the house.
Once your tech is standing in the basement looking at a 14 year old furnace with a cracked heat exchanger, the $89 is irrelevant. The conversation just shifted from a service call to a 5,000 replacement. But that conversation never happens if you think its $150 is bare minimum to show up at a house because you're worth it
Your diagnostic fee is not revenue. It is a door opener. Price it to get in the house, not to turn a profit on the visit. The money is in what your tech finds once he is there. And if its just a dirty filter, you get a review and it was worth it anyways. That customer should be in your outbound funnel the next 10 years

@JaredDHardin I’d love to know how your even getting the property owners phone number

@AlexLathery We have been at it now for probably 8-9 months. Check out our insta. We have been getting TONS of traction and have been building connections on there.

I still think we’re early on short form content for local service businesses.
Not early because it doesn’t work, early because most people don’t understand what it actually does.
It’s not just views or reach
It gets people to “know, like, and trust” you before they ever call
That used to only happen through referrals
Now you can create it yourself and at scale on socials if you’re willing to show the work, talk through jobs, and let people see how you think.
That’s what actually separates you.
And right now, it’s one of the few places where attention is still relatively cheap…
But the consistency, effort, and uncomfortability required keeps most people out.
I think this becomes a major lead source over the next few years

Just spoke to my friend who is a police officer in a very safe town
Spoke on the phone for about two hours
He is 26 years old and currently has $200,000 invested in the stock market.
We'll have a pension when he's 45 years old, making $150,000 a year.
This is actually an awesome life to live, and I'm super happy to hear from him and hear this.

@irentdumpsters Couldn’t agree more. Everyone should get out of Junk Removal. It’s shit. Don’t advise anyone to start it up like all these “gurus” don’t it it!

I one time made $175 to remove this treadmill.
It took me about two and a half hours to get this thing up the stairs.
At that very moment, I knew and realized that junk removal is one of the worst trades/businesses on earth to do unless you can get in with property managers and realtors.
Had to rethink my whole entire life after this fun extravagant adventure
