Birthright Citizenship Clause It’s not what you’ve been told, but what’s been accepted. Just like universal injunctions have been around for 70 years, and now they’re gone, in the law, something persists until it’s challenged. Courts can only hear “controversies,” if no one challenges a ruling, then it just continues on. ——————————————— Wong Kim Ark is factually distinct from illegal immigrants because the parties at issue were permanent legal residents, which means the federal government had approved their presence in the country. It logically follows that their child could have citizenship because the government granted permission for his parents to live here permanently, which one could argue, granted jurisdiction over them. The key fact being, the government approved their presence. Then you have what are called Canons of Construction. There’s a canon against surplusage, which means each word has effect, and there are no superfluous words. “Subject to the jurisdiction thereof” has to mean something before the child is born, otherwise it’s circular. You look to their parents to determine if they’re subject to the jurisdiction of the United States. The 14th amendment Framer, Senator Howard, and Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Senator Trumble, both said it meant “complete jurisdiction” or “political jurisdiction” in that the parents must be able to vote. Because only citizens can vote, you can see where this is going… The first case to test and actually explain the citizenship clause was Elk v US, where an Native American said he was born in the boundaries of the U.S. and therefore should be a citizen, but the court found he was a member of another nation (a tribe), so he was NOT a citizen. Hence why Congress later passed the Indian Citizenship Act. In conclusion, birthright citizenship only exists insofar as Wong Kim Ark is current law, because you don’t get that from the text of the 14th Amendment.

I will advocate for red because you’re assuming the rest of the world is altruistic as you. There are plenty of people that will vote red, more than half of the world’s population. Because they’ll take advantage of your naïveté. All economics is about allocation of scarce resources. Removing million of consumers helps energy, less competition for food, etc.

@USALivingInCA @hipowermutant @LordTankArt Sure, you only care about your own life. If that's your position, then so be it, but don't ever pretend that it's the better or more moral position, And don't advocate for red. If you only care about your own life, why even participate in the conversation.

@USALivingInCA @LordTankArt Congratulations? I'm glad I don't take a shot everytime a redcel uses the r word to feel better about themselves. It's kinda cute how y'all pretend it makes you superior. Like little kids on the playground.

@USALivingInCA @LordTankArt Right. You have a small, diminished dominion. Unfortunately individuals do not survive long against gathered tribes. So even if the blue button tribes are non-violent, your culture will be eliminated as it is forced to integrate with a tribe for procreation.

The logic of choosing red is easy, you pick red and there’s no risk of death. I don’t care what anyone else presses because they’re not my concern. It’s not my job to save anyone, they have all the information they need to make an informed choice. My goal isn’t for everyone to live, they already have the ability to do so. Win win.

@LordTankArt Right. So 51% choosing blue is statistically more likely than everyone choosing red. Either red is advocating for mass murder or they're just not good at logic.

Again, you’re injecting these things into the scenario when you should ask questions. I can do the same with the real world. Blue’s think things can only get worse (mass death), while Red’s understand the rest of the world is far more selfish than the West. If the people of China, India, poor South American countries, and Russia all believe Americans and Europeans will be delusional and press Blue, they’ll get rid of their adversaries by simply voting selfishly.

@USALivingInCA @TrustlessState @ShitpostRock2 The scenario is “everyone on earth has to make a choice.” Just because you didn’t think of what that means doesn’t mean I made it up. Classic conservative, let the children die, and vote for the pedo President. You’re what’s wrong with society, kick rocks freak

You’re adding additional facts to the scenario e.g., newborns and mentally incapacitated to justify your choice. Even if what you’re saying is true, I’m still not obligated to save you or others from their choice, which is functionally and intentionally different than murdering someone.

@USALivingInCA @TrustlessState @ShitpostRock2 There is no danger unless red wins the vote. Encouraging red ensures that a number of newborns and those that can’t be reasoned with will die. Encouraging blue ensures that the risk never occurs for anyone. We have learned of the murderous heart of the rightist today. Babykiller.

@Stillupunk @chicfryrice That risk of death exists for others who didn't push the red button if the red pushers win. Red murders everyone else if they win. Blue saves everyone. OP is 100% correct. All you red pushers take this disingenuous stance of "I'm not doing anything"

> Pressing blue is the only way people die This is “if everyone will just” The majority of red arguments reduce to this Blue accepts that everyone will not just
NanoScream@ironyisabich

@TheEbonyMaw Nothing bad happens if everyone presses the red button but the way the question is set up seems like you HAVE to press blue or else people will die Pressing blue is the only way people die Handy chart stolen from someone in the OP replies

i picked blue too. seems like a logical answer since, if we all pick blue we all live. the only reason to pick red is out of fear of others picking red which is stupid because you are adding to the problem trying to dodge it.
