ICE ARRESTS ALIEN CHARGED WITH HIT & RUN THAT KILLED TX SHERIFF’S DEPUTY ICE @HSI_HQ special agents tracked and arrested Salvadoran criminal alien Dennis Xavier Arguello-Acosta March 14 for allegedly fleeing the scene after driving a vehicle that hit Deputy Kenneth Lewis. Deputy Lewis tragically died following the incident. Sadly, Arguello-Acosta was granted Asylum in 2018. This is why @USCIS now reviews asylum cases more frequently — granting asylum cannot cost American lives! He’ll face deportation proceedings after facing justice.

A federal court revoked the U.S. citizenship of a man who orchestrated a massive $3.8 million COVID-19 relief fraud scheme, ruling he obtained naturalization through lies while actively committing fraud. The defendant submitted numerous fraudulent loan applications using false information and diverted taxpayer funds meant for struggling businesses. When you lie, cheat, and exploit programs meant to help others, accountability doesn’t stop at sentencing. It follows you.

A Moldovan alien fraudster with multiple extradition warrants—including for bank and wire fraud—was apprehended during his interview for a Green Card at our office in Louisville, Ky., by @LMPD and @ICEgov. USCIS is working to ensure this criminal won’t be able to defraud Americans again.

A criminal alien wanted on an outstanding burglary warrant tried to obtain a Green Card at our office in West Palm Beach, Fla. Thanks to an immigration officer’s vigilant screening, he couldn’t hide his record from us, and @PBCountySheriff arrested him on the spot. In America, obeying our laws is not optional—it’s a requirement for anyone seeking to stay here.

The longer DHS goes without funding, the less time we have to prepare our nation for optimal safety and security at the FIFA World Cup and America’s 250th birthday. This Democrat shutdown impedes DHS’s ability to keep Americans safe.

Democrats must end this shutdown now and let DHS get back to our mission of protecting the Homeland.

This is a win for the American people, the rule of law, and common sense. For years, activist judges have used the federal judiciary to shield illegal aliens from deportations, simply because those illegal aliens could make false persecution claims—often from scripts provided from open-borders NGOs—even when the Board of Immigration Appeals ruled no such fears were credible. The Trump Administration will continue in its mission to deport illegal aliens and keep America safe.
SCOTUS Wire@scotus_wire

🚨 The Supreme Court unanimously ruled that federal courts must defer to immigration agencies when deciding whether facts qualify as “persecution” in asylum cases, applying the substantial-evidence standard rather than reviewing the issue from scratch.

ICE arrested Mohammed Ibrahim Alzahrani, a criminal illegal alien from Saudi Arabia, at the @USCIS building in Newark, NJ, where he was appearing for an interview. He entered the U.S. in Denver, CO, on a student visa, but failed to leave in 2017 when his visa expired. His criminal history includes a conviction for crimes against a person, including violent harassment, and a child abuse charge. Thanks to the swift coordination between USCIS and ICE @ERONewark, he’s in ICE detention and can no longer threaten New Jersey communities.

ROOTING OUT FRAUD IN OUR ASYLUM SYSTEM. For too long, a fraudulent asylum claim has been an easy path to working in our nation, overwhelming our immigration system with meritless applications and allowing millions of illegal aliens and foreigners to flood our communities. Now, we’re taking decisive action to overhaul this failed system, strengthen the vetting of applicants, and ensure our asylum system prioritizes those actually seeking refuge from danger. It’s part of our mission to end fraud in our immigration system and ensure our nation and our people are kept SAFE. dhs.gov/news/2026/02/2…

A former North Miami mayor who used two identities to procure immigration benefits — and eventually acquire U.S. citizenship — after illegally entering the United States has been referred to @TheJusticeDept for denaturalization proceedings. USCIS has zero-tolerance towards immigration fraud and will pursue denaturalization proceedings regardless of who they are. uscis.gov/newsroom/news-…

.@DHSgov published a proposed rule that would reduce meritless asylum applications, processing times, and backlogs and allow our asylum system to focus on those actually seeking refuge from danger. Drug possession, battery, domestic violence, DUIs, and burglary were all in the criminal record of an illegal alien from El Salvador who visited our Tampa office. He quickly learned that criminal aliens will NOT walk out of USCIS offices with citizenship… they WILL walk out with @ICEgov.
