In Caltech GPS, students who identify as female are 2.6x more likely (with 2σ confidence) to fail their qualifying exam than their male peers. I wish I could share what the division has done so far to take accountability for and change that statistic but the answer is nothing.

CDC has confirmed the 1st human infection of 2022 w/ a flu virus that usually spreads in pigs. The person infected had direct contact w/ pigs at an agricultural fair. Public health risk from these types of infections is low, but CDC recommends precautions: bit.ly/3zydRoc
