@ooooooooooo39 Currently a bug with MusicKit that isn't present on the version we're working on so that won't be an issue.

My experience with Cider so far. ANNOYING but awesome. Since i don't own an Iphone ... the log in process had me go into f12 on the website and wander around to some token thing... I hope Apple music isn't going to be the only one i can connect to ? ... i'm glad i managed to log in in the end...

@itsnoahd Yeah we're working on replacing virtually everything to get us off all of Apple's MusicKit pieces which keep breaking. And so far we've done it with excellent results, just collecting a bit more feedback til we can get it live for all.

Cider is so light now you'll never see it as a high energy process anymore, and it will keep power usage extremely manageable. 4W anyone?

If you're using Apple Music, Cider now has this functionality built right into the app. No menu bar for you, select what you want Cider to use.

@gslashm Hard to measure, but hopefully this provides a little insight into the kind of parked cores involved.

@UseCider 0.2% of what CPU? what kind of core? this is like saying "this car consumes 5% of its reservoir in fuel per hour", it doesn't really explain much. are we talking 0.2% of one execution thread? one multithreaded core? how fast?

Cider now uses 0.2% CPU usage, and 200MB of RAM as of the latest Rust based convolver changes to our Audio Pipeline. This means even faster results and profile changes and even better EQ handling with minimal performance/gain loss. Also arriving with 4.

@VileSnapl GPU thread itself needs a bit of memory, but the main process itself is 200MB.
