@johnpaulpaumbo @ExNewsHD IR missiles have the limitation of short ranges (ofcourse, the missile needs enough heat to actually lock). In 99 percent of combat scenarios, a F-35 won't be flying as low and close to the enemy as it was there, it'd be used in a standoff role. So, it would be practically immune

@ExNewsHD It’s not clear to me why any nation wants to own this very expensive compromised plane, especially now that it can be brought down by heat seeking missles.

“Shocking revelations from a former executive at Lockheed Martin, the company that manufactures the F-35 fighter jets.” Nalan Yazgan, a Turkish engineer who previously worked as an executive director on an F-35 project at Lockheed Martin, made notable statements regarding the F-35 aircraft: “If Turkey had obtained F-35 jets, we wouldn’t have even been able to take off with them due to the software. In fact, we shouldn’t have taken off with them at all.” “The F-35 transmits information about all military assets within a certain radius instantly and in real time to the United States and Israel.” It is also mentioned that some Turkish engineers involved in the project say that if Washington decides to cut off connectivity or updates to a country, the aircraft would literally turn into ‘a piece of metal,’ unable to carry out combat missions or even routine maintenance.”

U.S. officials told Congress that Iran’s Shahed drones are a major challenge and air defenses “will not be able to intercept them all.” Lawmakers also warned the conflict could become a “math problem” as interceptor stocks run low. Sen. Mark Kelly said “we do not have an unlimited supply,” while officials acknowledged the drones are “posing a bigger problem than anticipated.” Source: CNN

@chribjel I use a lot of Gemini 3 Flash for math, it gets the job done in problems that Claude struggles with (not Opus). ChatGPT also does really well, but takes too long

@spiggzy @visegrad24 No. Air resistance exists. While true, that a Zircon could hit Mach 8+ speeds at some point in flight, this is certainly not true in the terminal phase. Any and all missiles, without the propulsion will be slowing down and will be much slower than their max speeds when arriving

That's not the point. There is clearly something arriving and something intercepting. The intercepting thing is moving visibly much faster than the arriving thing. Compare the speed of the intercepting thing to the speed of the arriving thing (not direction, that is irrelevant) and you will see that whatever is arriving can't be a Zircon. If it were a Zircon, the speed profile would be inverted. The arriving thing would be moving far faster then the intercepting thing. The interception could still happen, I'm not disputing that at all. My only point is that it is not a Zircon. That is all.

@thewarhead00007 @visegrad24 No, the missile LEADs the Zircon to intercept it. This way, the interceptors speed doesn't necessarily matter, it can simply predict where a Zircon will be and hit it there.

@spiggzy @visegrad24 Kalibrs don't follow a ballistic trajectory and dive down on targets like that. Speed of the interceptor does not matter, it leads the target, doesn't chase it. An interceptor doing mach 1, or slower could also pull off this intercept. It's all about the maths and precision

@visegrad24 Anyone with a brain can tell this is total bullshit. Modern PAC-3 interceptor travels at about 6000kmh. A Zircon travels at around 10000kmh. The interceptor is travelling at around twice the speed of the target at the moment of impact. It's probably a Kalibr.

@JimmySecUK This is similar to his diversions with Venezuela before strikes. There is far too much military movement in that region, for him to do nothing - I think there will be strikes at some point.

The #PRC is conducting a large-scale joint military exercise targeted at #Taiwan. It has also designated areas for live-fire tests. It’s an act of escalation, threatens regional peace, & violates the basic principles embedded in the @UN Charter. #China is such a troublemaker.

Deeply concerned by reports of the targeting of the residence of the President of the Russian Federation. Ongoing diplomatic efforts offer the most viable path toward ending hostilities and achieving peace. We urge all concerned to remain focused on these efforts and to avoid any actions that could undermine them. @KremlinRussia_E

Zelensky said on Christmas Day that he wished Putin were dead. He called it the dream of all Ukrainians. Don’t think all Ukrainians are godless like Zelensky. We are ashamed of him. It’s clear how much he really “wants” peace. He’s doing everything he can to disrupt Trump’s peace plan.
