Dated a Black American man whose mother had a doctorate in education. He dropped out college his freshman year because “it was fake”. Both of my parents were high school dropouts I graduated from one of the best colleges in my state. At some point, there has to be accountability.

Life-long suburban Black female nerd here. I can tell you that the late 80s Black suburban boys, from two parent households, were completely uninterested in AP classes, nerdy things or being useful members of society. Now sports and wreaking havoc everywhere had their attention.
