Small tweaks matter. This new 100’ two-way 8th Ave link for westbound cyclists along 13th to Meatpacking / Hudson River continues the 13th Street lane around Jackson Sq, via a protected block of Greenwich Ave, codifying what was a very clear desire line. #BikeNYC @bikenewyork

Three new pandemic era subway ridership records the past few days: highest total on Friday and best Saturday and Sunday. 3.1 million weekday riders is on par with the early 1990s now, and Saturday’s ridership was 2/3 of a pre-pandemic late September Saturday.

Manhattan Community Board 8 just passed 47-1 my resolution asking @NYC_DOT to convert the Queensboro Bridge South Outer Roadway to pedestrian-only. Currently cyclists & pedestrians share the congested North Outer Roadway (see below). This was the final step of community input!
