@NYCSanitation I love you all. So much work cleaning up after everybody. But, whoever gave you this chair should be fined. Maybe beauty shop at 85-03 Roosevelt?

This is obnoxious, even by the standards of anti-union corporate bosses: Hotel owners are waging a PR campaign against their own workers, to demean their work in an effort to pay them less. Thanks to @NYHTC, hotel workers in NYC earn decent wages and benefits that allow them to afford living in the city they serve. Proud to stand with them in their fight for dignity on the job.
Hotel and Gaming Trades Council@NYHTC

The NYC hotel industry is launching a $500k ad campaign ahead of their contract expiring with our union. A representative for the hotel industry reportedly “raged” over our “cushy” union contract in an attempt to build sympathy for billionaire hotel owners and international corporations. The truth? Nothing about hotel work is cushy. It's back-breaking work, done by hardworking New Yorkers who are trying to survive in an unaffordable city. SupportHotelWorkers.com

I'm more than a bit upset that @NYCMayor and @nypd are not taking rising crime seriously in Queens. Having #RooseveltAve split between @NYPD110Pct and @NYPD115Pct skews data. Homicides, up. Gangs thriving, people afraid to go out after dark. This can be fixed. Must be fixed.

@nyc311 @NYPD115Pct @NYPD110Pct Driver is passed out, pretty much in lane. Plate is blocked. Outside MiTierra, 86 and Roosevelt. New gang corner if 86, NE Side. Look for lookers on corner near gang tags.

This car was in Xwalk, which irked me. I noticed @NYCSanitation marker, for removal. I look it up, $600+ in judgements. Then I look at charges and --its listed as BMW!! Stolen plates! @nysdmv what to do? I've seen it around #JacksonHeights a lot now. @nyc311 how do I report?

@katie_honan The pool and museum mysteriously close to public for repairs too. FMCP is the playground- of political will. A new @usta building is going up at the entrance. Plus, look at media row. Not even legal road width, no sidewalk.

Every summer the US Open pushes the limits of cars in parks, moving beyond just the many roads in Flushing Meadows Corona Park to park on green space and park space nytimes.com/2026/03/31/nyr…

@katie_honan Concrete barricades go on to block pedestrians from these grassy parking lots, in fact. Thanks for bringing it up. Even today, cars are going 45mph from off ramps. No bike lanes exist. No bike lanes! AND WE NEED BIKE LANES.

@ScottJenningsKY Just stick with the laws, Mr. - Trump didn't have the authority to do the work, and never got approval from Parks that manages it or Congress who funds it. Dont get all crybaby, follow the rules. If he needs a pathway to build , its through Congress.

I simply cannot understand why people are so angry about a ballroom that future Presidents will enjoy and is 100% privately funded. President Trump could save a kitten from a tree and it would still be a scandal.

This is wrong on so many levels. This driver just ran a stop sign outside... a school zone! He should not have a license right now.

The poster seems to argue: NYC/MTA pours millions into harsh anti-fare-evasion tech like those jagged "razor teeth" subway barriers to catch jumpers ("fare buster"), trapping low-income folks in their neighborhoods with no cheap way to reach jobs, services, or help. Meanwhile (via the parking screenshot), car parking violations rack up huge unpaid fines with lax collection—especially from out-of-state plates. So rethink the priorities: enforce parking meters first, ease up on subway barriers.

THE NYC DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION ALTERNATIVES STRIKES AGAIN 46% of trips in NYC are walking. 32% are by vehicle. Less than 3% are by bicycle, a fringe form of transportation most commonly and empirically associated with juveniles. Yet, another vehicle lane will be removed replaced by a expanded bike lane and a 10-foot shoulder with trees, reducing road capacity, increasing congestion, increasing potential for pedestrian conflict, and further restricting emergency vehicle movement. This captured agency must be placed under federal receivership until the idealogical rot is excised.
