@Only9built I knew an elderly cyclist who refused to wear high-vis because he said it 'made him a target'. I think many of us will relate to this. The main danger to cyclists is not from people who can see them perfectly well in black and moan about it on social media, it's from psychopaths.

@CHAIRRDRF @hugorifkind @NickCohen4 Maybe, but I don't express a view over whether calling for a ceasefire in this case is sensible or not. I'm worried that the right to protest is getting eroded by finding lots of odd days/occasions/circumstances when protest is unacceptable.

@CHAIRRDRF @baoigheallain @London_Cycling Yes, in Brent, though it is good the Wrottesley Rd/Harrow Rd junction is highlighted again, as @BrentCyclists have campaigned on it without success, without obviously dangerous spots like Staples Corner & Northwick Park, the map just seems peculiar and I think will lose cred.

@baoigheallain gets it right here. I have to say I am disappointed with @London_Cycling here.

@CHAIRRDRF @hugorifkind @NickCohen4 Isn't there a confusion here between Armistice Day (11/11) and Remembrance Sunday? I agree R. Sunday should be a solemn day undisturbed by protests. A. Day is the anniversary of an armitice (i.e ceasefire). I don't see why folks shouldn't be calling for another one on that day.

@BicycleDutch I tried cycling in Berlin before the pandemic. It was certainly better overall than London, due to the larger number of bike paths and lanes, but, as you say, they are narrow (despite v. wide roads) and poorly-maintained. Also designs have a lot of conflict with other road users.
