It does make me laugh, how left wing media like the lovely @DailyMirror continue to try and find any excuse possible to paint @reformparty_uk Councils and somehow uniquely messy or chaotic. Sometimes what they claim is awful is just standard fare in Councils of all parties across the country. Other times it's total nonsense. But I can't fault their commitment to the smear campaign - they're going hell for leather! Their latest article on @Kent_cc is based on ONE resident saying they thought services were worse - particularly street cleaning which isn't even a County Council service - and a handful saying things were no better than before. Six residents in total from a population of over 1.6m people. They then follow up with quotes from Opposition Councillors who - shock! - say it's bad. Can you believe that the Opposition would say the current leadership is bad!? Who knew that would be a thing!? Let's write a national article about this breaking news 🤯 Honestly is this what 'journalism' has come to at the Mirror? If you went anywhere - ANYWHERE - in Britain, run by whoever, you'd find people who will say things have gone downhill. Of course you will, because it has! Successive governments have failed to deliver and the current one is destroying our economy. Councils EVERYWHERE have been under huge and sustained pressure for 16 years. Yet in Kent these guys - coming in to public service for the first time - have reduced the debt, made tens of millions of savings (and as a result have delivered the smallest tax rises in many years) whilst continuing to deliver services under not just normal pressures but with the added burden of '000s of asylum seeking children to look after, coming over the channel in to Dover daily. @LeaderofKCC and her team are doing a grand job in some tough circumstances and they deserve better than smear campaigns from the Mirror! It’s why all waiting lists, in a few departments, are longer than they should be. Not sure opening a window will solve this.

Letting their residents live in damp conditions, mold growing on the walls and plaster crumbling away. This resident has reported this on several occasions and STILL nothing has been done about this.
