Nintendo buying Next Level Games was special case. The owners were looking to sell. Luigi's Mansion 3 selling 14+ million copies had a lot to do with it. Grezzo, Good-Feel, Jupiter, etc. are still independent. I wouldn't look to Nintendo to save any Microsoft studios.

@AlphaNineTech They are getting the heat because they caused the problem. They threw money at the wall not knowing what to do with these studios and now are gonna punish them for it. Sony has been getting shit for bungie but bungie did most of the damage to themselves

No way Xbox is getting this much heat for closing studios or moving them on from internal to independent! Don't forget, previous leadership and poor decisions has cost Xbox dearly financially! I don't remember Sony getting this much heat with the way they've handled Bungie all these years and other internal studios. It's business and very sad people may loose their jobs but the industry as a whole has been very unpredictable the last six years.

@kiwitalkz No it's also bad in terms of gameplay because as much as people hate to hear it, N64 games aged like milk because of how dogshit that controller truly was.

I still maintain that the original is timeless outside of graphics and the 3DS version fixed that so I’m curious to see what they are going to change if anything. I think StarFox is a good indicator of what to expect with this remake, largely 1:1 with a few changes here and there in the design, the music will be orchestrated and voice acting probably.
