The “America First” president is using steel imported from Europe instead of American made steel in the new White House ballroom. What happened to prioritizing Americans job, MAGA?

BERMAN: The Times reports Trump has secured tens of millions of dollars of foreign steel for his $400 million ballroom. How do you feel about the new wing of the White House being built with foreign steel? REP. HARIDOPOLOS: Well, that's news to me. Breaking news. I have not heard that. Obviously we want to use American steel

Foreign steel was DONATED for the project, Governor — not purchased with taxpayer dollars. If it's free, smart business is to use it and save money for the American people. Meanwhile, Pennsylvania steel mills like U.S. Steel have been foreign-owned for years, your state's infrastructure is crumbling (hello, Philly parking garage collapse), and you're lecturing about "American steel first"? Focus on fixing PA's roads, taxes, and schools instead of recycling NYT hit pieces.

President Trump’s use of foreign steel at the White House is a slap in the face to American steelmaking and the workers right here in Pennsylvania who power the industry. And he’s doing it as his tariffs are screwing over workers and driving up costs. The President should be putting American steel first.

NYT: President Trump has championed the U.S. steel industry, promising to strengthen it and to impose stiff tariffs on foreign metals to shield manufacturers from overseas competitors. Yet the White House has secured tens of millions of dollars worth of donated foreign steel for Mr. Trump’s $400 million ballroom project, according to two people familiar with the plans nytimes.com/2026/04/08/us/…

New reporting reveals Trump's $400 million ballroom will use tens of millions of dollars of foreign steel. This comes as Trump denies U.S. automakers relief from tariffs for using foreign steel.

@NewsWire_US @MentallyDivine They choose cheaper steel over choosing American steel lol. America last. Private donors, showing they rather use cheap shit while peddle “Buy American Made” products to the audience they have captured. 🤣

Yea, for criminal contempt you need the AG. Civil contempt has only been tried once, and they settled before the ruling was appealed and the House lost. “Inherit Contempt” hasn’t been done in 100+ years, and there is nothing stopping the Executive Branch from breaking the person out of “Congress jail.” Turns out the legislative branch can only pass laws, and only the Executive Branch can “execute” laws.

@WardB_CT @NewsWire_US Separation of Powers. Congress cannot enforce laws, only the Executive can. A subpoena and contempt are laws.
