@VoidSpecter001 @Dipdil Kesh came only in 1699. Before that Sikhs didn't keep long hair. Before Guru Gobind, none of the preceding 9 gurus insisted on Sikhs to have kesh or the other 4 items of faith. So it is not compulsory to have kesh to be called a Sikh.
