P3 at the #Sebring12 and our 4th consecutive podium! Must’ve been the power of the sideburns. We weren’t the fastest thing out there, but some great calls from the team and work in pitlane put us in the mix with a couple hours to go, and we clung on. Good points, and great fun.

The Bridgestone tyres were very strong that weekend. I remember with our Goodyear tire I have chosen the hard compound because the soft ones had high degradation. And Damon outqualified me on the BS. At the race I had huge advantage and was going to win easily until my fuel nozzle came undone….

I'm too busy to post, so here is Damon Hill his qualifying lap dor the 1997 Hungarian Grand Prix. That weekend the Arrows A18 was superior and Hill should have had won the race, still the 2nd place was impressive, in a poor season for Arrows. #F1 #RetroF1

F1's new 1-decimal gap display isn't just dumbing down the data. It creates a rounding problem that actually matters. Overtake mode activates within a second of the car ahead. So is 0.950 shown as 1.0? Is 1.049 shown as 1.0? Drivers could look out of range when they're not, or in range when they're not. F1 measures in thousandths. Qualifying, lap times, photo finishes. The precision exists. Just use it.
