Favorite action from 4/22 NBA Playoffs: Detroit Pistons: Flat 77 Shallow Instead of a standard double drag, Detroit flattens the screening angle to manipulate the coverage. Orlando Magic switches it — Detroit immediately punishes it with the shallow cut.

UConn hosts Stanford transfer Oskar Giltay today: Giltay holds himself in elite company as a freshman. 1 of 17 freshmen ever to have: ≥ 10 OREB% ≥ 20 DREB% ≥ 8 BLK% ≥ 2 STL% The addition of Giltay would give UConn the elite rebounding and rim protection Hurley desires.

VISIT NEWS: Stanford transfer Oskar Giltay visited St. Louis yesterday and is visiting UConn today, source tells @LeagueRDY. The 6-foot-10 big man is an elite rebounder and defender who spent one season at Stanford. He averaged 3.3PPG, 4.1RPG and 1.2BPG while shooting nearly 63% from the floor this season. Repped by @pinesportsgroup and @Dillon_Buchanan.

@Norsk2u @_samcalhoun Yea they have a pretty seamless track record regarding transfer visits and HS recruits but especially transfers. About as good as done probably.

Another huge win for college hoops: Projected 1st rounders like Thomas Haugh, Braylon Mullins, and Pat Ngongba returning to school. NIL is giving players more time and opportunity to develop, and it could really shake up next year’s class that projects to lack high-end talent.
Shams Charania@ShamsCharania

Florida junior Thomas Haugh -- a projected potential lottery pick -- will return to the Gators next season, he tells me, @JeremyWoo and @jeffborzello. With the 2027 Player of the Year candidate back in the fold, Florida becomes the favorite to open next season at No. 1.

Favorite set from Celtics vs Sixers G1: Celtics: Get → Twist → Spain Twist triggered by on ball defender going under → Boston flips into Twist and flows into Spain PNR. Built-in coverage solution that creates confusion and late help.

@JaredKotler Definitely. Different game than Alex but a lot of the same traits. Very skilled, can put it on the floor and has a very high IQ. Very excited to see how Hurley and the staff use him.

I can't remember the last time I've been so excited about a pick up than I am for Khamenia. Whenever I'd tune into a Duke game always felt like he'd be such a good fit in the UConn system. Can't wait to see what he does for them this year

@DraftMac Very plugged in UConn fan: he’s starting likely at the 4 spot. Apparently trending towards Mullins returning as well.

Brayden Burries is one of the premier off ball movers in the 2027 Draft class: 1.46 PPP (!!!) on perimeter cuts (94th percentile). His off ball movement + scoring/playmaking profile make Burries is a lottery lock come draft night.

What happens when coaches collaborate with a skill acquisition specialist? According to @Coach_Mul (Defensive Coordinator, Brown Football): “Having someone to collaborate with was a game changer.” “Ultimately, coaches are judged by results… this collaboration produced better outcomes.” This isn’t about replacing coaching expertise—it’s about amplifying it. Better practice design. Clearer “why.” More adaptable athletes. “If Not Now, Then When for Skill Acquisition Specialists? A Response to Fransen” 👇 journalofexpertise.org/articles/volum… Article written by: @MovementMiyagi @TylerYearby @fab_otte

@IsaiahScouting @UConnMBB Great thread! He's gonna fit in seamlessly at UConn. The rebounding and rim protection are a given, but I'm really excited where his game goes with improved conditioning, and developed feel for the game. Sky is the limit for him under Hurley.

The offensive profile is just as intriguing: ✅ 2.6 A/TO ✅94th% rim assists ✅84th% perimeter shooting ✅80th% off-dribble shooting Playmaking + shooting indicators alongside elite defensive tools puts Demary in position for a legit 2027 NBA Draft case.

NEWS: UConn's Silas Demary Jr. is returning for his senior year, CAA tells DraftExpress. The 6'5 PG made First-Team All-Big East and All-Defensive Team, playing through a severely sprained ankle en route to the title game. Huge retention for Dan Hurley's next Final Four push.
