@NancyRPearcey Also in ancient Greece. Theognis of Megara wrote that a slave woman can't give birth to a free man, and that slavery was shameful; the Greeks considered slaves almost like a different species.

“Job is the victim of a huge and sudden reversal of public opinion that is obviously unstable, capricious, and void of all moderation. He seems hardly more responsible for the change in this crowd than Jesus is for a similar change between Palm Sunday and Good Friday.” — René Girard

The way Tunde Onakoya went from most loved to most hated needs to be studied 😭

“To say that our desires are imitative or mimetic is to root them neither in their objects nor in ourselves but in a third party, the model or mediator, whose desire we imitate in the hope of resembling him or her, in the hope that our two beings will be fused, as some Dostoevskyan characters love to say.” — René Girard

Notice what @DavidAFrench never references in his willingness to treat Talarico as a true Christian brother. And that is what scripture says. Talarico says God is nonbinary and has denied the exclusivity of Christ as the only means to eternal life. French is in clear disobedience by treating Talarico as a Christian. —1 Corinthians 5:11–13, But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler—not even to eat with such a one…God judges those outside. ‘Purge the evil person from among you.’ —2 Thessalonians 3:6, In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we command you, brothers and sisters, to keep away from every believer who is idle and disruptive and does not live according to the teaching you received from us. —2 Thes 3:13-14, Take special note of anyone who does not obey our instruction in this letter. Do not associate with them, in order that they may feel ashamed. (Also, this is a repost so that people can see the video).

David French says he is furious at the Republican Party and claims abortions went up under Trump. I asked, “What did he do that caused abortions to rise?” French: “What I'm saying is, as I said earlier, this is a man who contributed to extraordinary growth in libertinism, especially on the right.” “Okay, do we have data that shows us that it's more people on the right that were getting abortions under Donald Trump?” French: “We don't have data.”

I do think it’s telling that David French goes on a show in good faith, knowing it’s going to be an interrogation session, and he posts nothing about it but this while Allie and her team post clip after clip of what they see as “gotcha” moments.

New York Times writer David French joins me today on Relatable to debate pronouns, toxic empathy, James Talarico, voting for Kamala Harris, abortion, and so much more. This episode is out now. Listen on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or watch here: m.youtube.com/watch?v=KYPlrX…

I asked David French about his article calling James Talarico a Christian example in light of Talarico’s statements in support of transing kids, abortion, and God being “non-binary.” French: “I’m just not willing to say James Talarico is not a Christian.” My response:
