So not only has Iran brazenly lied about its ballistic missile range capacity, but this means it can probably hit the UK with them - and we have zero, I repeat ZERO, defence against these missiles. Very worrying.

Our independence as a separate entity from EU has been curtailed which is why we have fines if we turn away migrants (up to €20k), if we don’t meet their green targets, etc. We voted Lisbon down, it should have been honoured.

It was rejected once, amendments were made that gave guarantees around neutrality, taxation etc and then it was voted through the second time after these amendments. Is that not democracy?

Think about that every time an American politician talks about "spreading democracy." They cancelled the democratic election because the "wrong" person would win. They then spent the next two decades killing people to prevent the government that would have been democratically elected from taking power. And they called the other side anti-democratic. This is not ancient history. This is the logic that still governs every "democracy promotion" operation today. Democracy is acceptable when it produces the "right" results. When it does not, you cancel the election, back a coup, fund the opposition, impose sanctions, and call the government that the people actually chose a "dictatorship." Vietnam exposed this logic completely. Not with arguments. With history. With the receipts.

But they absolutely need something to deter the aggression against them from multiple countries. I still can’t believe the UK & EU are denouncing Iran, when Iran was attacked during negotiations 😔.
