The recommendation is to run at a 1-2% incline on the treadmill to match the exertion you would have running outside. On the treadmill, you don’t have wind drag or need to propel yourself forward, which lessens exertion.

I recently started running to try and improve my endurance and burn cals, I like it a lot, but does anyone else find that it's way easier to run a mile on a treadmill compared to outside? Is the treadmill inaccurate or is it just a me thing

@EOEboh How do you know it does? We don’t know what products column is, maybe it’s a free text field from user input.

The SQL table below violates the 1st Normal Form (1NF). Why is that?

@martin_casado They've been cooking. I use it daily and stopped VS Code (rip). Love the brief moments where we "mind meld" and it suddenly gets what I'm trying to do, then it's just tab tab tab, feels a bit like accumulating combo points or getting critical strikes in a game but on coding.

@levelsio Use this in your keybindings.json { "key": "shift+cmd+l", "command": "editor.action.selectHighlights", "when": "editorFocus" }

My biggest annoyances with VS Code (and in turn Cursor) is I've never been able to get Find + Multi-Cursor with arrow keys working like I did in Sublime Text I use it a lot to edit lists of text fast I go Cmd+Find "SGD" for example, then Find All, then I literally have 10 cursors on every SGD, I can arrow key through the letters around it, or use Option/Alt-Left or Right to skip through words, or Command-Left or Right to to the beginning or the end of the line Then I can use Shift to select I'm super fast at editing like that but none of the shortcuts work in VS Code or Cursor similarly The internet says use Cmd+Shift+L to do it, but all that happens in Cursor is I end up in the AI chat and I don't wanna go there

My entire life I've tried this workflow: - edit package.json - npm install it never works. I have to: - edit package.json - rm -rf node_modules - rm package-lock.json - npm install Is "edit package.json then install" not a workflow that's supported?

@pdrmnvd What a great species to befriend. Beautiful squawk, incredible memory, and love to taunt your feline friends. I bet he/she is stashing your peanuts to eat years later.

The best data professionals are extremely opinionated / influential on the data generation process. Best practices around SQL/DS modeling bad data have an upper bound. Good data people do their best to deal with “garbage in”. Great data people go upstream and fix the problem.

@garrytan Chat has a poor reputation to begin with. Attaching your user experience to a poor reputation will be an uphill battle for adoption.

Chat is overrated as a user experience. Good visualization, information hierarchy, copy, call to actions is underrated as a user experience. Multiply all of these effects by 10X when you have the power of an LLM involved. Start with great UX, not a chatbot.

@FrancescoCiull4 I find myself needing 1) an easy to access and customizable user payload, 2) ability to hold session info 3) double cookie submit and 4) deliverable with the software. Always seem to roll my own middleware with JWT and XSRF. Would love to see packages that have them all.

Relationships are hard... Sharing the first SQL query I ever wrote 10 years ago because 1. this simple analysis is deceptively hard 2. the same pattern showed up today in a debugging session with another analyst Enjoy my trip down memory lane
