Wisconsin athletics will now receive $14.6M annually from the state. The money is specified for debt service, but it frees up other funds to be used for athlete payroll. This legislation “recognizes Wisconsin Athletics' role as an economic engine for the state.”

@abrazomack @JohnnieBaxley3 Sure it does. But talent in controlled competition isn't that valuable. Most can't make that money outside of college. People want to watch college kids play, not minor leagues

A large public university could probably give a free education to 100 kids for a year for the price of that top big man. Wow.

Grateful to God for this milestone. Finally got my dream car, and it’s a reminder that patience, discipline, and the right guidance truly pay off. Special thanks to my coach @keylamariaxx for the support and mentorship in Bitcoin mining. free to reach out to her and get started

@abrazomack @JohnnieBaxley3 Doesn't matter. You could have anyone out there in a uniform and people would watch and pull for their school. These guys aren't worth this much.

It’s cause Gabe said houses were for $50,000 in Sonoma ranch where they are actually for $500 grand!

@GoodmanHoops @TheFieldOf68 Validated. Worth clarifying, top 25 overall, not at every position. 6-9 + with athleticism and skill is a huge plus position this year. Remember, the market always yields opportunities and inefficiencies

@WinterSportsLaw Seems like the 5 year restriction would be more enforceable than transfer and movement restrictions

An NCAA proposal would give DI athletes 5 seasons of competition, from the time of their 19th bday or high school graduation (whichever is sooner). No waivers, no redshirts. This is a sensible rule. But the important question is whether it can withstand antitrust challenge.

The NCAA is exploring a significant change to its eligibility rule, sources tell @YahooSports. The proposal creates an age-based standard: Athletes would have 5 years of eligibility from their 19th birthday or HS graduation. No redshirts or waivers. bit.ly/3POqo2D

@ProfBenavidez @brandonaaragon @Target The TIDD creates far more value long term value for UNM with GRT generating uses than housing. This part of town is a retail desert but w/the Gibson corridor growing, Mesa del Sol emerging and commuters to Valencia County many will definitely shop there. Big win for UNM long term

@brandonaaragon @Target This is just the commercial district. I believe there are plans to add housing and expand the ScIence and Tech Park. The TIDD stretches all the way to CNM.

Lobo Crossing, a new UNM South Campus development anchored by @Target, has reached a major milestone and is breaking ground this month. This is great news for the area, which has been underserved by retail for many years. abqjournal.com/news/target-of…
