If as an embassy you can’t make a decision one way or another after 2 weeks, return people’s passports. It’s not a life and death issue. That’s the whole point of the processing fee. That you hire enough hands to manage the process. There are only 12 months in a year, if you, one embassy, keeps people’s passports for a month or more, how do you expect them to navigate the year if other embassies are just as sloppy and incompetent? I am really just so tired of these embassies and I am even more tired of calling specific embassies out. Everyone just needs to treat citizens of other countries like they would theirs. It’s different if people don’t know how to treat people but you already do. You wouldn’t treat your fellow citizens that way.
