As I’ve said for more than 50 years the answer to homelessness is to give homeless people a home!

Finland gave every homeless person a house and within 6 months 85% had a job and were financially independent. Less crime, less hospital visits, less suffering and even including the cost of the house, LESS COST than the UK/USA method of abandoning them on the streets.

$42 billion for a battery, but nuclear energy is soooooo expensive it should stay illegal?
You could build around 4 large reactors or 8 small modular reactors from the money spent on Snowy Hydro (based on even the CSIRO's numbers).
One's legal, the other isn't.

When I was applying for a carers pension someone came to the house to “assess” how disabled mum was. The questions were ridiculous “if she sat at the kitchen table could she make herself a sandwich? As if a disabled person should just live on sandwiches. I have no faith in this

The Albanese government will contract the same private "human service" companies, the same orgs who are currently being accused of milking the scheme, to test how disabled people really are... in their own homes. The money always flows to their mates, not the people who need it.
