Marc Andreessen: AI coding doesnโ€™t eliminate programmers โ€” it redefines them. The job is no longer typing code line by line, itโ€™s orchestrating 10 coding bots in parallel, arguing with them, debugging their output, changing the spec, and pushing them toward the right result. But hereโ€™s the catch: if you donโ€™t understand how to write code yourself, you canโ€™t evaluate what the AI gives you. The next layer of programming isnโ€™t writing scripts โ€” itโ€™s supervising AI that writes them. Todayโ€™s best programmers spend their day jumping between terminals, managing multiple coding bots, fixing mistakes, and refining instructions. The irony? You still need deep fundamentals, because without them, you wonโ€™t know when the AI is wrong. The job of the programmer has changed. Now itโ€™s about arguing with coding bots, debugging AI-generated code, and understanding why something doesnโ€™t work or isnโ€™t fast enough. AI abstracts the work โ€” but only people who truly understand code can tell if the abstraction is doing the right thing. Programmers arenโ€™t going away โ€” theyโ€™re becoming 10x, 100x, even 1,000x more productive. Tasks are changing, the job is changing, but humans are still overseeing the process, evaluating results, fixing errors, and making judgment calls. AI changes how we code, not who is responsible. The future programmer isnโ€™t replaced by AI โ€” theyโ€™re upgraded by it. You still need to learn how to write and understand code, because when the AI gets it wrong, humans are the ones who have to know why. That up-leveling of capability is the real revolution.

Here is an interesting fact about the DotCom bubble collapse from 2000 to 2002 When the bubble burst, the tech heavy Nasdaq 100 fell 77% and the S&P 500 fell 49%, dragged down by extremely overvalued Internet Tech stocks. At the same time, Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway gained +80% during the collapse. This is because he had zero tech stock exposure and was invested in non-tech, highly profitable stocks like Coca Cola, American Express, Gillette, Washington Post and Moodys. When money ran out of tech, it flowed into all the non tech. However, during the DotCom boom, from 1998 to 2000, Buffett's portfolio underperformed the market significantly. While all the money was chasing after sexy DotCom tech, his non-tech stocks dropped like flies. What's the Lesson from this? 1) When the AI/Crypto/Quantum/Nuclear Bubble bursts eventually (I don't know when), the overvalued and unprofitable stocks in this sectors will drop 50% to 80% 2) The money will flow into the profitable non-AI stocks that have been neglected and forgotten (i.e healthcare, software, industrials, staples etc...) which will then surge 50% to 80%. This rotation is inevitable. My portfolio currently has a) 38% exposed to high quality, AI-related stocks (mainly hyperscalers) and b) 62% exposed to high quality non-AI related stocks (healthcare, industrials, staples, financials and discretionary) So, while I am riding the AI boom (and outperforming the S&P 500 & Nasdaq 100), I am doing it in a safe, diversified way. When the bubble bursts (who knows when?), my non AI stock exposure should have huge outperformance, which should buffer the drawdowns in my AI related stocks. The key to consistently profitable investing is not to time the top of the market (no one can), but to build a resilient, bullet proof portfolio that will continue to grow under all kinds of economic conditions.

@jurgen_nauditt Verify what? That they are going directly to Baltic states front? What is that? You mean they attack NATO with their 50yo precision BTRs and soviet trucks?

On May 9, putin will present an ideal combat unit capable of invading Ukraine or any of the NATO countries at any time. โ€” BILD The publication writes that putin wants to demonstrate an experienced and combat-ready invasion force at his parade, capable of moving directly from the parade to the front lines in Ukraine or the Baltics. There will be bridge builders, tank trucks, ambulances, mine-clearing robots, and electronic warfare systems. Everything that makes for successful logistics for an attack on a neighboring country. This means that the Russian Federation has learned from its past mistakes. Instead of flashy propaganda, it is now demonstrating pragmatic precision. Who can verify this?

@EvaVlaar @vonderleyen @realDonaldTrump Just for a sec imagine you are in Ukraine. Russians are moving to your small town. And you know for sure that they are coming to you home to take EVERYTHING you have and to kill you at best. At worst... you know what they do first. Does this perspective change anything for you?

The Eurocrats have gone totally mad. @vonderleyen is reserving โ‚ฌ800 BILLION in European defense spending to support Ukraine. Their default position is to claim moral superiority by doing the exact opposite of anything @realDonaldTrump does - even if it unleashes World War III.

Even with the government imprisoning political opponents, and riot police and titushky beating up opposition figures and wreaking havoc, approximately half a million Georgians came to protest in Tbilisi. Why isn't this happening in Russia?

Republicans in Washington want to push things off and say, โ€œOh, President Trump will fix it.โ€ No, we have a job to do right now! We have to stop the Biden agenda that Mike Johnson has delivered. Johnson fully funded the DOJ that is coming after President Trump with 91 indictments and did nothing to stop it. We need Republicans who are fighters and we need a new Speaker of the House!
