Lessons for European defence here.
Those familiar with #FCAS know what a disaster it has been for years now - chiefly because of France.
France insisted on naval capability and Dassault as true design authority and refused to budge one inch from its unacceptable demands.
The loudest voices in the room calling for 'European' defence are almost always French, but what they actually mean is replacing American firms with French firms and forming all rules, tenders, procedures and requirements around French needs.
This is why European defence is dead in the water. It's a thinly veiled smokescreen for French ambition, and it won't go anywhere until it isn't.

@pbeyssac Ceci dit, ils ont changé la méthode de calcul et utilisent désormais github.com/genai-impact/e… (toujours Ademe/BetaGouv), mais cette fois-ci c'est beaucoup plus sérieux et mesurable. Je pense qu'il y a toujours un delta d'erreur entre 100% et 200 %, car le fp16 est hardcodé.

@baptistejamin Ça fait plus d'un an que j'ai pointé les évaluations délirantes de ComparIA en effet, mais il n'y a pas de SAV quand les administrations diffusent sans vergogne des fake news. Tout le monde s'en cogne.

Ne croyez absolument rien (sauf très rares exceptions), de ce qui est dit concernant l'impact énergétique de l'IA et du numérique en général dans les médias grand public, et notamment sur France Télévisions et Radio France. Une constante depuis 10-15 ans. Nouvel épisode.

C'était le grand n'importe quoi sur l'IA chez @cavousf5 👏 On y apprend notamment qu'une seule requête ChatGPT = "laisser la lumière allumée pendant plusieurs heures voire une journée entière". Ce hoax vient d'un article idiot du Huffington Post de février 2025 (cité ci-dessous)
