iOS developers: How long is App Review taking for everyone these days? It is now taking longer to get our app approved than it is to build the actual features.

@thsottiaux 1. 5.4s UI design ability is down right unusable. It’s a non-starter for me, have to use Claude. 2. Give me the ability to change the project source directory or move threads to different projects.

What are we consistently getting wrong with codex that you wish we would improve / fix?

Sure, but something’s off. Only honey would be considered Added Sugar. The FDA explicitly excludes whole fruits, fruit pieces, and pulps from the definition of added sugars. Mixing in organic real fruit would not. 12g of sugar is your total, yet that’s all 12g of added sugar. Where is the fruit accounted for here? Math ain’t mathin… But yes, this would be better than anything artificial.

How does no one mention the fact that the #1 usecase for sharing a contact is someone texts you… “Hey can I have X’s number.” And you literally need to leave messages, open up contacts, find the person, hit share, then hit text, then type the name of the person you JUST were on the text from and hit send… Like I don’t think I could dream up a worse UX

GPT-5.4 on the Codex app is such an incredible building experience, this is the multi-project/multi-agent UX I've been waiting on... not sure how I could ever go back.

@thekitze Why do you hate the overall concept of it? Then you’re asking for alternative solutions to do that same concept… what don’t you like about it? It does exactly what you want it to do.

i tried making an app with convex. the only use case for me was to have the realtime sync. i just hate the overall concept of it and don't see any other benefits to it. what am i missing? there's still not an easy solution out there to take any postgres db and make it convex-y

As someone diagnosed with slow processing disorder, I'm not down with the flippant use of "retard". It doesn't hurt MY feelings, but I can see how it would marginalize people of lower intellect to become the standard by which all shitty things are measured. We're born how we're born. Intellect is 85% heritable, and no one gets to choose their parents. No one should try to take credit for innate privilege. Do better, as the pedantic folks say.

I loved the idea for our Super Bowl ad as soon as the team showed it to me. It's unique, just like our QR code ad in 2022. Most people half watch commercials (buzzed, in a loud room, with lots of people). It takes something unique to break through. Turning 100M+ screens into karaoke, so the whole U.S. (and many around the world) can sing in unison, is an antidote to polarization and just plain fun. Everybody deserves economic freedom.
