Less than three weeks since the election, it was fantastic to start the day with a meeting with new @DCMS SoS @lisanandy and @JaneIdeCEO. Nothing more energising than discussing the endless ways charities can play a vital role in helping government achieve its missions.


Working in partnership with charities will be vital in delivering the government's missions to halve knife crime in a decade and improve young people's mental health. Collaborating with the sector to develop our Young Futures hubs will be essential in achieving this.



The Labour leadership thought it was worth losing this seat to Iain Duncan Smith in order to get rid of me (even Ed Balls said so) - now look.
