This story is horrific. This girl with mental issues was taken from her parents and thrown in a state-run facility with MENA migrant minors. They then gang-raped her. It traumatised her and led to a suicide attempt which left her paraplegic. Today, Spain will euthanise her.

Take yourselves off the donor list if you haven't already. Spain is a prime example of why you don't want to be on one. What some people seem to have missed is the subtlety of the Pro Death lobby. First they talk about her physical pain and win sympathy. Then they put her in a position where it is ever harder to backtrack, having been seen by millions taking a forthright stance. Then it turns out that she won’t be euthanised because of her pain but because of her depression ; this is a new landmark. Furthermore it emerges she has never been treated for depression. So in one sleight of hand, the criterion for euthanasia has shifted from saving unnecessary pain to taking someone’s word for it that they are depressed. Now granny, you’ve made your will, but don’t you sometimes feel a bit depressed ? Shall I call the nice men with the clipboards?

This woman actually needs a combination of heavy nutritional therapy (GAPS diet) Years of therapy with a licensed proffesional who specializes in PTSD recovery… and exercises that release trauma from the mind and body … nervous system exercises daily … love, ,care and support from her community and to know that there was justice for her and her rapists have been executed…That is how you heal this trauma ! I doubt it is actually exhaustive and includes experimental treatments -- just SSRIs and antipsychotics probably

Perhaps they should have tried weaning her from morphine and moving to alternatives instead of setting her up for organ harvesting. This is the most shady sad event.

A wounded woman, in pain and despair, is told death is a solution. We call it compassion. It is not. It is surrender. A culture that cannot carry the broken will eventually eliminate them. That is not dignity. That is despair dressed up as mercy. The defense of life must be wider. It cannot stop at the unborn. It must stand for the violated, the disabled, the suffering, the forgotten. Otherwise, we simply change who we abandon. And let us be honest: doctors are skilled, but they are not moral authorities. The same hands that heal can also be trained to end life. Skill is not wisdom. Noelia did not need death. She needed protection, love, constancy, and meaning. Life belongs to God. We do not restore dignity by consenting to death, but by refusing to abandon the wounded.

@chalethigh1 @alvinfoo What? Reaction time of a healthy young male is 200 to 300 milliseconds. He had time to react, but not much to do. The passengers reported it felt harder than usual right after the landing and then the thud as it struck the truck. All he could do was brake harder. We will see.
