Alright, I'm now 10 hours into FF7. I know it's the OG, and the Remake does things differently. But in a weird way, OG feels like an ABRIDGED version of the story to me. Moments and pacing are faster...and I kind of don't like that. I still think OG FF7 is pretty great so far.

I feel like the FF7 trailer doesn't make me feel excited at all, I think it looks just like Rebirth, which I didn't really like, But I will wait and see if there's anything interesting but If not I'll just open YouTube and watch the ending instead.

I caved and bought Final Fantasy VII's Twin Pack. So far, it's much better than I expected.

And yet he recycles the same clips of OPTIONAL NPC side quest to represent the rest of the game. And he ignores the actual story drama moments that are praised. But I bet you don’t care about those.

You're dishonest and this is why people call you a grifter. 1st of all, there are literally no official sales figures for Rebirth, provided by SquareEnix. The last time they explicitly commented on sales, was back in September, 2023, and it was a 7M milestone for Remake, before Rebirth even came out. x.com/i/status/17024… Keep in mind that Remake has trended and had multiple sales spikes since, especially during/right after Rebirth's launch. Combine that with the upcoming Switch 2 port, and Remake alone is literally about to outsell the original FF7 on PS1/1998 PC. 💀💀 So you are literally just making up nonsense to hype your own biased feelings. 2nd of all, the game is sitting at a 8.9/10 on Metacritic (user reviews), 4.68/5 on the PlayStation store, and at a "Very Positive" on Steam. So again, you're just being a butthurt grifter that cannot get over the fact that you are not the target audience for the trilogy, and will literally make up nonsense, with 0 evidence, to cope with the fact that you are part of a loud, irrelevant, minority. Bring in some actual facts if you can, or reply with the Red XIII gift if you are done & have nothing intelligent to add to the conversation.

Others have tried explaining that in OG he was written to change his speech pattern so it fits in Remake but he just clings to "SO WHY IS HIS VOICE DEEP IN ADVENT" and ends the discussion there

Notice how he always cherry picks OPTIONAL side story scenes that are done for whimsy and fun which are not part of the main narrative. Nitpicking and cherry picking at its finest. Because after you run out of the genuine flaws that even FF7R fans agree with, this is all you got

@mcbiscit @SirLazyCat Exactly. Sebby recycles the same optional side quest NPC shit clips to make his point which doesn’t work. Other examples like Red’s voice are fair criticism, but that’s not part of the cherry picking in question

@SirLazyCat @cactender The clip he uses is trying to show the game being cringe which is from a sidequest when the cactars force the party members to do the cactar pose. It's a silly sidequest that gives access to a series of challenge missions.

@tanhongyi90 I like the stark contrast between the planet/creatures born from it all being organic and the mechanical manmade industry/machines of Shinra. Just my preference. I understand the mecha designs look cool too

@cactender Why doesn't the mecha design make sense? It can be both organic AND mecha.

The only argument is that the OG Weapon design is “cool”. And I agree. But the mecha design doesn’t make sense. The planet is organic which contrasts with the manmade industrialisation of Shinra. There’s a time and place for coolness, otherwise it’s just style over substance.
