@Correactor @PandaKingEX FF10 is a PS2 game and I presented several games with graphics that are superior to PS2 games graphics with turn based mechanics. You also have Google and can broaden your search. Those games exist. I'm done with the conversation. Try not to be a dick in the future.

Turn based games coming out constantly if that’s the only metric that matters lol that have both better combat than any turn based FF and good other things as well. FF “fans” are living inside of some simulation where JRPGs and video games ceased to exist for the past 20 years.

Here’s how bad things are: Imagine if all Final Fantasy 17 did was use FFX’s Turn-Based Combat system That’s it No Parries. No QTE attacks. Just that system That alone would make gaming news That alone would dominate the JRPG market That alone would reignite interest among OG FF fans who gave up long ago Even if its story is a bloated mess Even if its characters are boring & cringe That’s how far Final Fantasy has fallen. @Correactor @PandaKingEX Triable....God damnit. Triangle Strategy. Either way, Google away and look at recommended turn based games. There's an endless amount. FF games are generally easy mode. Many of these games have more nuance in strategy than FF does.

@Correactor @PandaKingEX Your taste is extremely biased if that's what you think. Numerous games have implemented turn based mechanics that are reminiscent of the gameplay of FF with numerous innovations. Discounting those due to graphics which often look better than that era of FF is silly.

@mcbiscit @PandaKingEX The turn-based games coming out now are lazy nostalgia bait that looks like it could've been made by a 10 developer team, it's not even close to golden era FF in presentation, story, or gameplay. They popularized the genre and they can't even meet AA studio levels of polish.

@avataryaya_ It's weird cause I find parts entertaining. Like some scenes are fun and enjoyable but the show as a whole feels so unsatisfying. Episode 1 of season 5 gave me hope this season would reward viewers and now I'm just wanting it to be over already. Feel like I wasted time.

@yagurakirigakur @RinoTheBouncer They are focusing more on their main established IP like Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Nier while putting other IPs that perform less on the back burner. They are focusing on what works and being less adventurous, like with foam stars that flopped.

The sequel theory is still a theory as it's unproven until part 3 concludes.

I like it when people say when Cloud sees future in the remake everyone is like, "oh, it's a sequel," or it's "something new", and you'll see 1000 and 1 explanation in the comments, whereas Lucreсia sees Aerith's death while pregnant with Sephiroth in Dirge of Cerberus.

@_bazztek I'm sure the next expansion will see a spike in players and revenue, tho if this game operates similar to other MMO, that peak will likely be mildly less than Dawntrail peak. Unless something changes, 14 is showing its age and will continue to decline in playerbase.

@_bazztek Well I did say "one of the most profitable". 14 has generated significant income for Square. MMO generally sees this rollercoaster of revenue and player count of peak during expansion launch and decline towards end of expansion.
